What a coincidence (sorta) as I write this on the 26th, June 27 , 1904 happens to be Alberta's Birthdate. Vaughn and Gertrude Short are not my idea of silent era "beauties" but they were still cute and "piquant" in their 20s Flapper sort of way. I have several original 8 x 10 photos of Vaughn and her lesser known sister Ada Mae. She reputedly had quite a hectic romantic life, living it to the fullest as a popular starlet of these 2-reelers, Westerns and Poverty Quickies like The Live Wire (1935), where she puts all her comic pantomime and timing to use. Thanks for posting this rare relics of our cinema past, enhanced by charming music accompaniment.

loved this, also it's fun to ask, "Nobody's friend".....what is that? We all have at least ONE. It's the best description of an alarm clock I've heard.

Max Power Glad you enjoyed this. Only a few episodes from this rare series exist. The Telephone Girls and a few of the other series FBO was doing were recurring-character films, sort of a forerunner to radio/TV sitcoms.

First rate cast, and a nice tight story.

The Kodascope prints from the 1920s and 1930s were reductions from original 35mm prints and are real sharp.
