Nick comes across as particularly knowledgeable. It's always a pleasure listening to fish store employees who clearly know what they're talking about. Thumbs up.

I've collected some Poecilia Vivipara that look very similar to the first fish you showed. I'm in Northeast Brazil. I've found them in soft water streams, small ponds, and mangrove Forrest. A very beautiful, and cool fish. The fish differ from place to place. I've even collected an orange fork-tail variety.

Cool, We call the Arrowana "Sarratoga" in Australia. They're super shy in the wild and only bite really softly on a lure. Sooo hard to catch. The Kribensis are beautiful. Thanks Jimmy for the great photos

I've seen Northern Saratoga (what you're calling the Jardini Arowana) get up to around 80cm (2 foot 8 inches). They also get a lovely bronze finish and bulk up as they get bigger.

The store's selection, especially with cichlids like apistos and kribs always blows my mind at how beautiful they are, and then makes me wonder why my local LFS never carries ones like Apistogramma cacatuoides and those fancy new kribs you have there XD If they did, I know they would be a top seller! We usually only carry blue or red agassizii...beautiful in their own right when coloured up, but yeah...amazing cinematography, as always :D

3:53 Gorgeous livebearer, wherever it lies on the family tree. I have really no dog in this fight, but just keep convergent evolution in mind. It's fooled me more than once.

Super cool!! I like all of em lol but really digging the Kribensis especially the coloring on the female. Gotta love the Jardini too being a big fan of predator fish but I'm really liking the coloring on the tail, cool that it stays with em thru adulthood

Before you move can you turn my tanks and I into dark energy swirls? Side note. The crazy Taxonomy community aren't calling Nigerian reds kribs...or any pelvicachromis taeniatus ...." taeniatus" any more... I don't know why, but my videos on Nigerian Reds, Bipindis, Lokundje, Moliwe and Lokawi "taeniatus" species I've had, get comments from the uber fish nerds and often times...specifically the German fish hobbyists comment in some super rude and long (I'm trying to keep it long, but less rude) response about how they are now just called "Pelvicachromis "Collection Location Name"." Probably because they all really closely related to any non-"pulcher" Kribensis. Beautiful fish though...and super super fun to watch them raise a little fry family. I've shown my fry off over on my channel since they hatched on new years (if you wanna see adorable parenting and awkward little floating eyeballs following their parents around).
