That's honestly hilarious. Imagine being that guy: you're claiming LO as Wildling which of course is a pretty solid fake claim, your Illusionist decides to go on you (not enough info to make firm hypothesis why,) and then you get caught and outed by a Trapper who went on you because they genuinely thought you were real TI. 😂

Trapper is honesty one of my favorite roles, it's just that it only gets to shine in situations where you don't have non-killing roles triggering your trap and causes you to have to rebuild it over and over, which kinda works like WW's method of killing but u don't get infinite traps after n4

I think a really cool buff for trapper would be to make it like the werewolf, so that you get a trap every night past a certain night

I mean, trapper is also amazing since you can confirm other townies or you can say that no one visited your target, just like lookout. Trapper is a nice ti with tp potential, not the other way around imo.

@@goaltf4it would be interesting to have one single use ability called intense focus where you build and trap the same night. The rest of the time it’s normal. That would buff the role while also making it more interesting with the decision to use it early in case you die or wait until you have more info about who to protect.

Trap should only break when its triggered by an attacker, but should be repairable in a single night if it only reveals the visits.

I had a Trapper game the other day where I placed my trapp on the Investigator claim. I figured they'd be targeted because of the SK, and the only other TIs were two fake Coroners and one real Coroner (and later a Seer who was silenced N1). I died N2 so I couldn't say anything about where my trapp had been set, so now it was time to wait. Day 3 passed, no trigger. Day 4 passed, no trigger. It was now a 2v1 after they hanged the last Coven. The Werewolf, the only real Coroner, and the Investigator. You wanna know what happened? The Investigator visited the Coroner, who was attacked by the Werewolf. And the Coroner visited the Investigator. It would've been so clutch if they all just stayed home and Werewolf had no choice but to die from my trapp, but nope. They didn't even try to consider the dead Trapper's trapp was on one of them.
