He was my neighbor in the Colonnade apartments in Newark NJ. I was a couple of years old and my folks use to have him over when he was around. I've always had a love for his music growing up. My Mom would play his records and sometime you would catch something on the radio WPAT for those of you who are from the area. I was in Knoxville Tennessee having a beer at "Bistro at the Bijou" when they announced on radio that he passed away. I called my folks and let them know. I listen to his music all the time. Enjoy!

James Moody had a great personality in his craft. He swang and made magic, both beatiful and fun at the same time. What a genious!

@@F0nkyNinja because the "nice sound" comes from Mr. Moody being a master musician, not from whatever piece of metal he's using. Too often so many musicians today hear some great player and think "wow what gear is going to make me sound like that" instead of "what kind of commitment, focus, and determination" do I have to put in to sound like him?
