I realized something very interesting about this episode. For the very first time, none of the mane six were seen or heard for the entire episode. Even the 100th still put them in the background and gave them a couple of lines at the end.

1. 1:22 "I am a fan of Polsky's. I know he's somewhat, ah, polarizing..." Polsky. Polarizing. I see what you did there. 2. 3:17 I'm undecided on whether seeing the CMCs staring at their own flanks makes me feel more or less weird for having stared at them myself before. 3. 7:29 "I don't know who that pony is." The fans have probably named her already, but I'm going to go with Gumball Surprise for now. 4. 7:34 "Or that one." I will be sorely disappointed if someone doesn't name that barber stallion Two Bits. 5. 8:40 Uh, Applebloom, you got a little something on your face there. :) 6. 13:40 Michelle Creber's singing sounds a lot more mature now, doesn't it? 7. 14:48 "Tree Hugger! Good to see her again." Nude modeling, of all things. 8. 18:42 Scootaloo: "You are *not* going to believe this, but I think I like bungee jumping even _more_ than scootering!" RD: "I _don't_ believe that." Well I could. For Scoots, the amount she likes an activity is likely exponentially related to the perceived amount of danger involved. 9. 19:16 "Applebloom having a bit of a breakdown here." The writers have already gone through most of the mane six. I guess giving the CMCs mental breaks was the next logical step. 10. 23:22 If Tender Tap didn't already have a name, I would have named him Curtain Call.

Sweetie Belle's parents don't really do anything for her. Seriously, they weren't there when either of their children got their cutie marks. They were also not there for Sweetie's 5th birthday party and I don't expect them to really be there for much else. They only make exceedingly small cameos. Rarity is more her parent than their actual parents are. That's why I've always thought Rarity's parents were neglectful, but not abusive. They just didn't realize what they were doing.

+Taku Genji They definitely do not appear enough and some of the stuff they're absent from is pretty suspect, but I don't know. One of their few background appearances is the one in Inspiration Manifestation where we see them spending quality time with Sweetie at a town event. The mother also says in Sisterhooves Social that she gives Sweetie cooking lessons, which would mean time spent together. They also seemed to get along rather well in that scene. I'm more of the opinion the relationship is probably pretty ordinary, we've just not seen it.

Yes but her mother actually looks like her cutie mark is in cooking. So why does Sweetie Belle still burn everything. I guess not really neglectful more than misguided. They try but they do things wrong sometimes. I'm pretty sure Rarity's parents came before the cutie mark chronicles, so they could have easily added them in that episode. It's just a little weird to me that they have her parents and don't add them to episodes more. Her parents are the only one who lives in Ponyville with their children. Twilights still live in Canterlot but we've seen them just as much as Rarity's parents. I've just found it strange that they aren't utilized more.

This was an alright episode for me, nothing amazing but nothing bad either. Loved seeing Bulk Biceps again (looks like he has a different voice) Love the song that Applebloom sung, first Applebloom song, first song of the season, and first solo song of the season, first pony freak out, this time it's Applebloom's turn, like the lesson that they gave, it was nice having them dive into the fact that the CMC only ever seemed to do anything involving getting their Cutie Marks, nice TreeHugger cameo, first time the mane six isn't in an episode, like the character Tender Taps, hope we see him again, even if it's just a brief cameo. Like the artist ponies that we saw. An overall good episode, not bad but not amazing. Hopefully we get more songs and some amazing episodes soon. (My favorite episode is still The Gift of the Maud Pie). This was good, not bad and not amazing. (My humble opinion). Great reaction RarityDash, can't wait for more. XD
