I was tempted to pick these up as a "Beater" set... Unfortunately, at roughly £35 here in the UK, it's actually cheaper to get a second iFixit Mako kit. I'm guessing the RARTOP is considered an "import" over here.

The two bit sets I use are. From sunex the small set with the 1/4 bit ratchet and the much larger one in the huge orange case. Never let me down at work yet. Great video Doc.

What's great about this is the extra stuff. The guitar plectrums, the prybar thing, magnitizer, etc. That's super useful and at such a low price.

Me and my son have been using the nanch 55 piece set for almost 2 years, nice set for the money, and never had any issues. i got them because they are longer than standard bits and came in handy alot taking apart electronics and few firearms. thanks for the videos your putting out always a joy to watch

I really like my 46 piece Tech Rescue kit from Tekton which is a great desktop kit as well as mobile. Three pentalobe sizes for you Doc. Durable case and solid tools. Even has a little magnetic pad to retain screws when you are working on something.

Yes they are handy! But often product casings have deep screws in it . Unreachable by bit tools. Same applies for any size bit tools. So next to these the need for a set of regular screw drivers still exists. As for the Wiha bitset which you have spoken of before, looks to be for US market only and is not available in the EU market. Maybe german marketing people thing US people have something with metal boxes? :)

That's a lot of bits and super nice to have all in one place. I have the Klein 27 in 1 where the 2 sided bits are stored in the base and that works for most of what I need and easy to store in a bag because it is just the screwdriver. Then for regular sizes I use the Klein 14 in 1 adjust which allows you to choose the length and can make it even shorter than the small bits screwdriver. This might be good to have for when I need every bit possible!

I think that bit set is made in one factory in china and then only different brand is put on cover. I had the same set in my cart but different name. In the end I bought Amazon Basics set. It was my first purchase of Amazon brand and I have to say Jeff has some nice tools. There aren't as many bits but the ones that are in the set will cover 95% of most people needs. The handle is ratcheting and the bit holder is extendable. I also have proxxon bit set but that one is intended for more torque heavy jobs and most importantly it had longer bits.

I’ve been using a TENG micro bit driver daily (I do appliance repair) for over 12 years, it’s indescribable, the ratchet is fantastic, only issue I’ve found is the inserts in the plastic case are starting to crack

There's an ArmorAll 24-piece "precision" set from Big Lots for $10. It's not great quality, but it worked for repairing my mom's laptop. It's a great option if you don't have your set with you while traveling and need to fix something, or are at a relative's house and don't want to drive all the way to your house and back for a single TR10 bit. I wouldn't trust it to hold up to wear-and-tear, but it at least gets the job done when you need it to. It'd probably be useful to toss in glove compartment on certain car brands.

I wanted a very compact set with lots of bits for occasional use. I got a KlearLook 57 piece set, just 166 x 68 x 20mm, and it has been fine. It looks like the name has changed to EZARC, now. But ARROWMAX is now making/selling similar sets with double-ended bits to get 96 in about the same size. (I have not tried them, yet.) My set's case is a strong aluminum extrusion, plus a cloth bag. The push-to-open latch is elegant, but if you drop it without the bag, it might pop open and scatter the bits...

I have the IFix It, and it works well. I especially like the handle. What I DON'T Like is the labeling of the bits is near impossible to read. I even tried gently running some chalk on the foam in the hope that the markings would be more visible. (It did not)

You have to wander why they have more than 1 of each PHOO# drivers? Probably cheap like the iFixit set

Is that the European/worldwide version of the Wiha kit shown here? It looks like the kit in the video is US only.
@Tom_- Жыл бұрын
@@Shocker99 I really don't know why Wiha seem to withhold so much of their product from the UK market, and yet sell their screwdrivers in our big DIY stores. Lots of great stuff available in US or Germany but of course the COO is hard to determine on a lot of it, and due to some unethical legal arrangements, "Made in Germany" is almost meaningless.

It's a real shame you don't find many kits of this nature that aren't made in the far East.. There are a couple of very limited selection Wera kits. Wiha is a bit of an unknown as they manufacture stuff in Vietnam.

Mine is bigger than yours 😂 "170 in 1 Precision Screwdriver Set", costing only US $26, with all the exact same bits and accessories plus extra ones such as mini spanners. Courtesy of Mr Ali Express. Made of pure chinasium, but this is the type of kit I would only use once in a blue moon when facing a never-seen-before screw head.

For my taste iFixit HRC is too soft, have the universal bit kit and the mako one, had many bits gone bad on me when dealing with lock-tight applied screws. I moved to nanch; thought the case is dirt cheap feeling the bits are harder, the driver itself i care less to be honest, as with all things after sometime you just dont care any more and want your work to be done in quality manner.
