This is the longest content I've ever uploaded. Should I make longer or shorter videos? Have you stayed in Rasa Sayang before? Can you recommend another Penang hotel I should try next?

What is the name of the cake that was sent to your room and you said would be your wedding cake....I am a avid baker and would love to make and try it.
@TimEatsandTravels2 жыл бұрын
@@sarahjackson-smith9050 that is an Indonesian kueh lapis. My partner actually bakes this and makes it better than even many Malaysian Bakers. If you're interested, I filmed him making this cake and there's a cooking video in my channel somewhere. He has tried many many recipes and most failed. So feel free to watch the video and try it. I'd love to hear what you think.

Love the long format, and how in depth you are on the room tour and showing the buffet food options. Too often KZbinrs don’t show the food properly!

I like the longer format. Long videos are fine with me when the content is there.

Thank you SO much! I really enjoyed making this long form video. I did question whether this was too long but if people enjoy it, I'll keep making longer content.

Pink guava, it actually reminds me on MH in business class! That's all I ask for. LOL... I was a regular at the, Golden Sands down the road. That's where I spent a lot of my childhood. HAHAHAHAHA... Wash your bits! It was the same arrangement for my hotel in Singapore, mini bar is free for the first consumption. Wonder if this is the trend going forward? Love how when being around scones, mum was talking about char kway teow... Hahahahaha... I could eat otak-otak all day long, Tim! I don't care if my mouth smells after that. Mark does not drink? I did not know that. Come on Tim, nasi lemak with a fork and knife? LOL!!! Thanks for the memories...

Those water bottles! I was sure you must have made a mistake with the currency conversion so I checked it and you were right! What a price for a bottle of water! Loving the antique phone. For people as ancient as me, that is not even an old phone. My sort of old phone has a dial. You would not believe the uproar when the first push-button phones came in. It seemed so novel to us. It used to be a major effort to push the buttons all the way down. The whole civilisation was different back then! Clearly, they know how to feast in Malaysia! The cuisine looked glorious! Smoked Salmon is among life's greatest joys and you cannot beat it on crusty bread with Meredith Goat's Cheese, the one that is marinated in olive oil. (Sold in Woollies so easy to find.) Sublime!
@TimEatsandTravels2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I know right? Thankfully that price is only payable if you take the bottle with you when you leave. It is actually free to drink the water. I actually remember the old rotary phones. I loved turning the dial all the way round. haha Smoked salmon is truly one of life's greatest hjoys. Couldn't agree more. Put a serving of gravalax in front of me and I'm in heaven. We have very similar tastes!

Hey Tim, Loved your video as always. Yes you are correct, you need to slow down the food shots in the buffet and also less of the floor though it was a very nice clean floor. 😉 The cocktail hours looked amazing, pity you experienced poor service from someone who really should not have any contact with customers with her attitude. The resort looks fabulous!! The food looks awesome. Feel sorry for Mark, all that food and he can't have any. 😞 In answer to your question cream or jam first on the scone, I always do jam first then pipe the cream on to make it look pretty when I do scone platters.
@TimEatsandTravels2 жыл бұрын
You pipe your cream on? You are definitely much fancier than I am. HAHA Yeah, I didn't actually realise how quick I was walking when going through the brekkie buffet. I have another extensive hotel and breakfast review coming up but I fear I also walked through too quickly. Moving forward, I will slow right down.

@@TimEatsandTravels only pipe cream on when I'm doing afternoon tea and want to look fancy 😀
