I get people all the time asking me why I like country. It's because one little song can feel like it was written just for you, and how in less than four minutes you're transported back in time to a world of old, bittersweet memories. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, can tap into the soul of regret and loneliness like country music can. This gets you deep deep deep in the feelings and sometimes that's where you need to be.

You my friend just took the words right from my mouth. I'm one of few people i know who listen to country and i have to say people who listen to country are a different breed. You either get it or you dont.

I think it's the beer bar girls truck jesus country that many people are put off. But heartbreak country is superior to any other genre of music in tugging your heartstrings.

No. I dont think that is the case. Being raped multiple times as a child, trumps breaking up with someone special.

I sort of agree to a certain extent, for me losing my nan hurts far worse than me suffering a fractured skull, traumatic brain injury and a damaged spine after a fall on to my head and all the pain afterwards because I am still here and I wish with all my heart that my nan was still here and that is 2 different hurts from 1 person's perceptive, I also agree with born free that something like being raped isn't like breaking up with something but it is down to the individual because someone who gets raped could overcome that, they could grow up to become an amazing person putting the past in the past where as someone else may break up with someone and they might spiral in to depression and suicidal thoughts and even attempting suicide, because of their 2 person's personalities, everyone reacts differently to different things 2 people may break up and one might be ok they may be upset in the beginning and then they may realise that life goes on that yes we broke up because of x,y and z so how am I going to improve the things I did wrong in the relationship so they don't happen again but someone else may seem fine in the beginning but spiral in to depression and feel like they can't carry on without the other person, I have never been raped so I can't really comment on the after affects of going through such an ordeal, I can comment about other things like suffering a traumatic brain injury and losing a loved one, people say they have it worse or that person has it worse but we all have our own struggles and difficulties in life, the thing is we never truly know what someone else is going through what ever that may be so all we can be is to be kind and try to help other people and hopefully when we need the help there are people who are there for us for when we need help.

Anybody who sings can appreciate the intricacies of this man's voice while he's singing. He's one of the best ever. You could practice singing his songs for years and still find out something that he's doing that you never heard. He's literally the Eddie Van Halen of vocals. There are millions of people that can play the guitar and play a million notes and singers that do vocal gymnastics but most of them are just making a bunch of noise. This guy actually can melt your heart with his voice. And like I said if you're experienced you will notice what he's doing and it's unbelievable if you sit and listen to every note. Vibrato, head voice, falsetto for .1 second back into full voice with vibrato and then a nice soft tone like he's singing you to sleep. And he hits 10 notes in 3 seconds sometimes. Definitely underrated.

I still loved her and prayed every night that she’d come back to me and then out of nowhere comes this amazing woman and I can honestly say she is way more important to me than my wife ever was, because we love each other unconditionally, I’ve never loved like this so I guess what I’m trying to say is just hang in there and you will be happy, because you’ll find someone to replace her and then she’ll always be on your mind, but in a much better way...don’t give up brother

Let me start off my saying my grandma LOVED Rascal Flatts. She’d always tell me the story of how she met Gary and Gary hugged her neck😂 well, I recently lost her to covid-19. About four weeks ago tomorrow actually. I recently made a playlist of all the songs I used to listen to when I was staying with her and this is definitely on the list. I’m finding a strange type of comfort in this song. Makes me feel like I’m 6 or 7 again in my pigtail braids jamming with her.

Hey baby, is that you? Wow, your hair got so long Yeah, yeah, I love it, I really do Norma Jean, ain't that the song we'd sing in the car Drivin' downtown, top down, makin' the rounds Checking out the bands on Doheny Avenue Yeah, life throws you curves But you've learned to swerve Me, I swung and I missed And the next thing ya know, I'm reminiscing Dreaming old dreams, wishing old wishes Like you would be back again I wake up and teardrops that fall down like rain I put on that old song we danced to and then I head off into my job, guess not much has changed Punch the clock, head for home Check the phone, just in case Go to bed, dream of you That's what I'm doin' these days Yeah, that's what I'm doin' Someone told me, after college, you ran off to Vegas You married a rodeo cowboy, why? That ain't the girl I knew Me, I've been a few places mostly here and there once or twice Still sortin' out life, but I'm doin' all right Yeah, it's good to see you, too Well, hey girl you're late And those planes they don't wait But if you ever come back Around this sleepy old town Promise me you'll stop in To see an old friend, and until then I wake up and teardrops that fall down like rain I put on that old song we danced to and then I head off into my job, guess not much has changed Punch the clock, head for home Check the phone, just in case Go to bed, dream of you That's what I'm doin' these days I wake up and teardrops that fall down like rain I put on that old song we danced to and then I head off into my job, guess not much has changed Punch the clock, head for home Check the phone, just in case Go to bed, dream of you That's what I'm doin' these I wake up and teardrops that fall down like rain I put on that old song we danced to and then I wake up and teardrops that fall down like rain I put on that old song we danced to and then I wake up and teardrops that fall down like rain I put on that old song we danced to and then Source: Musixmatch Songwriters: Stephen Paul Robso

This song describes losing someone. No matter if your loved one has passed or your loved one no longer loves you. In the heat of the moment suicide is the easy way out , but its not doing you any good. Your just making it harder on your family who loves you unconditional. Staying depressed will only show you how broken you are. I lost my Nana about 7 months ago & My aunt RuthAnn passed 2 months before that. There's not a second of the day that goes by that I don't think about them. It hurts saying it but they are better off in heaven. Stay strong & true to yourself. This song might cheer you up its called dancing in the sky by Dani & lizzy. Hope this helps someone to keep living on...
