I'm very sorry your Father died, but it's lovely that Bijou and your Mum have consoled each other over their grief for him. I’m sorry grandpa passed away it goes to show even birds get attached to people my friend who has a umbrella cockatoo when his mom passed away unexpectedly from a stroke snowball was very sad for a long time she did not wanna come out of cage very often she would get upset with me because I had some changes in life making my visits less frequent there was someone in the house she didn’t like but eventually she got to moved a friend of ours is taking care of her until he can get a place where he can have her but eventually she was happy again I didn’t know how it was gonna go when I saw her after being moved I didn’t know how that would go at first I opened her cage I started talking to her and petting her after a few minutes she actually relaxed to the point where she closed a eye and came out at her own will and so since then most of the time when I see her it goes well
