Soooooooo I’m watching this episode now as a married woman! After believing I heard God that a certain man was my husband, he ended up getting married. I was left devastated, but two months later, I met this amazing man and two months after that… we got married!!! God did not lie about my promise, I just got the person wrong at first. Our story is crazzzyyy but supernatural! Keep the faith yall!

I 100% agree. And I believe the most important thing you can bring into a relationship (besides a genuine relationship with Jesus) is complete transparency and that's what Rasheed lacked going in. He gave her what he thought he had to but he withheld what he wanted to and that's where the breakdown happens.

That's the problem. You all want to be able to trust man utterly and completely. Only trust of that degree can be placed in God. You fail people just like others fail you. We're imperfect and must learn to grow together.

@@Cymplicity-yd2lo That man is supposed to represent CHRIST, though ... meaning that he may have an off day, but his lifestyle is meant to reflect the Faithful and True One. If a man is weak on his financial stewardship (synonym: husbandry!), remember: Christ had plenty to say about that -- he needs to go to the Lord and tighten up. How is a man supposed to lead his wife where he is not leading HIMSELF? All of us have off days ... we are human ... but the lack of Christ-like patterns is a no.

@Cymplicity-yd2lo That's not what she said. What she said are REASONABLE expectations. There are men out there who ARE trustworthy in these areas. Why do we try and convince people (women) that their standards/desires are unattainable????? Like.... can we promote the RAISING of the bar???? It's so sad. Please.... let's shift our mindsets. This thinking and narrative will forever promote the perpetual SUBPAR mentality that has kept us ALL in mediocrity........ God came so that we might have life more ABUNDANTLY. Symone, it is called grief. You are grieving the death of a dream with a man you love, and don't allow anyone to rush you through it. Don't allow anyone to minimize it. Don't allow anyone to reason it away with comparison. Freeze your eggs and get counseling. I pray he becomes the man HE wants to be so the 2 of you can come together. Promise God that you will do the work "for you" in the meantime. I wish both of you the best under God.❤

The communication here is a blessing, so much openness and acceptance. They both have clarity of what happened, not debating the facts. They both take accountability. They are listening to each other. And they seem to agree on what the problems/issues are. When you add all that to the love they clearly have for each other, it seems like a setup for a recovery and a beautiful love story.

I absolutely love how they bared their souls and in no way could this have been easy. Rashid is a man who set his ego aside, realized his downfalls and seems to be willing to change. Unfortunately, he felt he needed to be deceitful to meet her standards and that will never work. His insecurities can only be healed by doing the work himself outside of a relationship. Simone in her expression emasculates him and is speaking ego because she's hurt and ashamed. I understand the disappointment of him not being all the way together financially, but he's putting it all on the line to save this relationship. Helping a man does not give permission to step on his chest as she does by interrupting and trying to be right. She is book smart but lacks the appreciation of a man who tolerates her intelligence while using it to make him wrong. I don't hear or see any empathy or compassion from her when she's determined to be right. She felt she could love him enough to change him. Even with all that I believe she's a good person and should stand on her standards and boundaries. That should've included not getting this deep with someone who acknowledged in the beginning does not share the same sentiment. Blessings to them on their journeys.

Although love is just never enough, people need each other more and more these days. Being alone is not the origin for humanity! The master didn't create us that way. One major simple fact a woman needs a man just like a man who needs a woman! The complicated piece is making it everlasting avoiding outside distractions. Social media is destroying relationships and lives cause of the need to be something YOU are not! Everything evolves around social media. It's like an ongoing battle for platforms like this one versus FB, Twitter, IG, etc. People are just sleep in the their fake persona. All too sad. I agree with @afrikurl She proved that she was willing to work with him. They both stated that she asked him to be honest about what he could budget and he was not. Yes, she had the goal or marker of the wedding there, but she clearly used that to demonstrate his area of weakness in that area. He wasn’t showing that he cared for her desires with the way he was operating. He was operating from selfishness. She became a travel agent to do her part to save money on the travel plans! So she was not unwilling to make sacrifices. She also stated that she was a finance major, I think that is a HUGE piece that has been brushed over for their specific dynamics. I believe she could really be a good helpmate for him b/c she has a strength in an area that he still needs to develop. And that’s how it should be in marriage. At 1:44 Simone, after 20 years of marriage, I’m currently going through a divorce. I’m happy to say that ability to make people feel like they can conquer the world, it comes back!!! It’s who you are. You will get back to you, and rather quickly if you focus on you enough. God bless you both.

As much as they love each other this type of problem is very serious. And love is not enough. Getting into a marriage partnership with someone who has these habits is terrifying.

I absolutely agree …they have love and care for each other, but the underlying dysfunctional patterns are toxic…when more kids come along this situation will get worse…they both need to heal and move on

Love is enough! It’s just that most people do not understand what love is and limit it to a feeling. It is patience, kindness, support, strength, encouragement etc. It is sacrificial and is a deep commitment that is not based on self gratification but on endeavoring to bring the best out of others just as they seek to bring the best out of you. Many of us are not ready to give or receive love because we have no idea what it is.

Please dont overlook her bad habits . They come across clearly. She was annoying to me for the whole show. She is an overbearing person and control freak. Again, he dodged more of a bullet than her

In my humble female opinion, she was talking with a raised voice for most of the interview (or maybe it's the high pitch of her voice) and when she criticized him of raising his voice - I was like whaaatt? Did my volume spontaneously adjust? It didn't sound like he raised his voice... I also thought she threw him under the bus bringing up the special ed stuff. I think that is his story to tell... He had such an embarrassed look on his face...... I do however understand her exhaustion of continually bailing him out financially. They both need to do individual work before joining back with each other or anyone else.

Great episode! Very insightful about the issues that cause stress & strife in relationships. My 22yr marriage suffered (in part) due to financial issues. But I’m glad this episode highlights that the lack of sound money management OFTEN is a result of deeper issues. Kudos to both of them for their transparency and utilizing this awesome platform.

The Holy Spirit assisted you in this interview; you sure opened their eyes to a lot of things. They addressed the problem in the beginning and that’s a great thing. Rashid started his healing process by telling the world what he has been dealing with. You are a great support to them. Excellent interview/therapy session!

This season and episode sounds like Miracles and Manifestations reloaded. We are yet to see this couples growth. It maybe that they won’t get back together again but Symone would have played a part in Rashid’s healing process. You were that piece that was missing for him to get the true healing. I wish them true healing, happiness and true love. That’s what love is all about. You will both come out stronger and better. With love from Zambia 🇿🇲.

This was an outstanding interview. I appreciate the transparency. Symptomatic of real ish in relationships we experience, but would more than likely NEVER bare to our family and friends, let alone on social media. We should see people as who they ARE not who we want them to BE.

Yes ma'am. I recall meeting this BEAUTIFUL brother 2 years ago! We had so much in common on the spiritual level and just CLICKED magically. As soon as I started to ask questions about his future objectives, finances etc... Bells and red flags went off immediately. He was not responsible in areas of importance, I walked away and was glad I did not sign up for that type of burden. Make sensible choices ladies.
