Rashida Tlaib: US government “actively participating” in Gaza genocide

US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib criticises fellow representatives and mainstream media for being “more outraged” at pro-Palestine protests across multiple US universities, than over the fact that over 34,500 Palestinians killed in Gaza, the majority of which are women and children.
Tlaib said students participating in anti-war protests across the country should be praised, not “vilified, smeared with misinformation campaigns, and silence”.
She called on universities to end “the repressive tactics, to exercise restraint, to denounce the ongoing police brutality, and to stop suppressing” the students’ activism and to protect their First Amendment rights to free speech and assembly.

Nothing says "selective outrage" quite like Americans' reactions to Gaza 2023/24 and Madeline Albright's 1996 interview in which she justfied the deaths of 600,000 Iraqis, mostly women and children, due to US sanctions as being somehow 'worth the price'. I highly doubt the people now outraged are the same people who endorsed "Atrocity " Albright's view, so I wouldn't call it selective. I see what you're saying, though.
