Ok but Excalibur being #2 on this list has me wondering how strong Arthur would have become in the Soul Eater world. Excalibur was Arthur's original and one true partner and probably the only one who could stand his presence since their basically the same. Arthur himself was on the Top 10 strongest characters list and we also know that all the Fire Force characters got a power boost upon entering the Soul Eater World, so not only would he be able to bring ut Excalibur's full potential but he also wouldn't be relying on just his power.

Corona sealed him away within himself/herself and then sealed herself/himself inside the moon but it's pretty clear that the Kishin still exists and will one day return. Maka swore she would save Corona one day and BlackStar swore that he'll beat the Kishin the next time he appears on his own. Plus it would appear that the next manga the creator is working on is a sequel to Soul Eater so the big showdown might not be too far off...

The rule that there can’t be 2 god’s of death’s that exist the same time is why Kid had the lines of Sanzu which restricted his power. If you think about, Kid and Death are the same being. Which is why Kid had OCD and was obsessed with order. It’s purely speculation anyways. The creator said that kid would be stronger if tapped into his madness of order but it’s just something that both Death and Kidd don’t bother using.

never read the manga, only watched the anime, though I have looked up some manga stuff, so am aware of some stuff (albiet quite rusty with Soul Eater knowledge/memory), but that's a far cry from actually reading the entire manga, of course does the manga ever get into maka's mother? if it does, how powerful is she? a bit more with Maka (maybe this is anime only stuff though): she does have her 'exorcism' powers too, from her mother I think, which did initially (the first time) completely expel the Black Blood, along with any evil/taint/spell on her or others, if remember right, and ya, she also has kishin/genie hunter, and also, she is both meister and weapon (due to her union between her parents, her father Spirit being a weapon), and she does really well against kishin asura, though obviously had a big weakness with it, that kishin asura quickly recognized and exploited, but in terms of physically/performance/combat wise, it was nearly on par with Asura, not quite, but close, and then we got the Black Blood too, that enhances her, and again, maybe its anime only, but she has the courage/bravery to overcome and overpower fear, which could very well be the most powerful weapon of all against all of the madness ruling over the world and its most powerful characters (the shinigami / old ones), and not to mention that very brief moment of "Black Blood Maka the Mad", against Crona... that was hella creepy-scary not saying any of this makes her the most powerful, but it could be having the potential to become the most powerful... eventually... if she can keep growing stronger... don't know too much about the other shinigami / old ones, and/or Lord Death's squad way back in the past, but aren't they the most powerful in world, with runners up being misquito, black star, and death the kid also, didn't lord death himself say that excalibur was even stronger than him, should excalibur ever truly fully actually engage and with all of his power (and especially if he were to find a meister that can "handle" him, laughs), or is my mind just playing tricks... meh

Of course the Meisters get all the attention with the exception of Excaliber & Justin Law. Maka + Soul together are stronger than Black Star or Kid Alone just from the nature of the series. Power of Teamwork was a huge aspect of what made the series what it was. Of course with the Anime canon Maka herself is powerful on her own as seen by her defeating Asura in the final episode. Yes Stein is insanely powerful, although having a Death Scythe partner (Spirit Albarn & Marie) makes him that much better. The Main 7 Protagonists working together with Soul's Music make them literally a team of gods. Is it really fair to say Black Star is strongest when Soul is amplifying him just as Maka Amplifies Soul alongside the Black Blood?

Won't lie, I admit that I haven't gotten around to seeing the series yet, but I kind of thought that Shinra would have taken first place. Even though technically he isn't present in the series, existing quite a while ago in it's history. Bro shinra was never mentioned in the series because Fure Force was written AFTER Soul Eater was. Fire force is of course the prequel but he has absolutely no presence in the fire force series. He is stronger than everyone here but he is not a part of the soul eater series. For all we could assume he sealed away his powers because he didn't immediately defeat all the monsters in the new world which he could have easily done with his powers. He might actually be dead in the soul eater timeline
