Jamaica's First ITAL FOOD FEST!

I can't believe how much amazing Ital Food was at this festival! This was the first of it's kind at Plantation Cove Jamaica, with tons of celebrity chefs like Aris LaTham, guest speakers like Queen Afua & Mutabaruka and tons of music and vibes. I had some amazing RAW ackee dish, mountain sop juice and Hypa roots tonic, spicy sorrel kombucha, Ital polenta and meatballs, zucchini pasta Jamaican style, and finished it off with an insane dessert zen bowl of acai. I lived on St. Thomas V.I. for 15 years and only hung with Rastas. I ate only what they ate and was in the best of heath. I moved back to the states and started eating fast food. I am now in the worst health I have ever been. Their lifestyle is very good for health and mental wealth.

@@RasKitchen The food prices and the kinds of food available push people to eat so bad. For the last 3 years, the food prices have gone up so fast that the only thing most people can afford is in a box or in a can. Then I wait for meat to go on sale and I eat it before it spoils. Even fruit and vegetables are expensive, and when you buy it off season it is tasteless and terrible. The US is going down the toilet, and its so unfortunate.

I am surprised more Jamaicans do not eat raw ackee. It is delicious! My wife and I tried it for the first time at Tehuti Cafe in Barbican and go there everytime we are back on the island. You should check it out Matthew and let me know what you think!
