Yes! It's actually CGI. I thought it would be fun to sneak it in there, and I thought symbolically it sort of represented the demon having infiltrated the house in a sense.

I've been sick in bed for the last two days now and I'm doing nothing but watching short horror films as a true horror addict should do. That is just to say that you guys should meet and collaborate on a brand new project, I bet that it would be a success!....just imagine Damien Leone, Danny Donahue, CryptTV, Drew Daywalt, David F. Sandberg, MakeDo Entertainment, etc. working together, it would be the scariest short film (or even a movie) ever done. What is better ? being rivals or being allies gaining billions of views, happy and satisfied fans and consequently funds to create more awesome projects ? It's a win-win situation, just saying. P.S. These short horror films I'm watching (i.e. All Hallows' Eve, "DON'T LOOK AWAY", Bedfellows, the short Lights Out, LOOK-SEE, The Jester, Vicious, etc.) are way better that the last horror movies I've seen in the last few years, it's unbelievable, and don't you dare telling me that it's because of the length, if you are talented you know how to do good creepy stuff! That being said, I wish you all the best!! waiting for the next short to watch! :)

I never saw that ending coming! It was really good to see a character who was smart enough to not open the door. There are always people doing stupid things in movies or short films. He couldn't survive, though. Very good video. Congratulations!

this is possibly the best short ive seen in YT out of the 14 I've watched so far. Your main guy was more true to life, not a dumbass, who didn't open his door to investigate the noise like most full length horror movie characters/dumbasses normally do. And then they get killed. Those movies are so predictable. This wasn't predictable. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the upload!

Another great work of art. I'm a huge fan of all things in the horror genre and I'm impressed by all I've seen so far on your channel. I'd like to make one small suggestion, so please take it for what it's worth. I personally would've liked more rigidity in the fingers of the creature snapping the protagonist's neck. The horror impact was lessened when the fingers flopped around giving the illusion of a soft, nonexistent grip on the neck. I feel like you could've just filmed the creature's arm from about elbow forward with the door just out of frame. It would've still given the same impression that the hand was coming out of the door and solved the rigidity problem. Again, it was a pleasure to watch this and I thank you for sharing it with the community.

I tried shooting in a flat "log" style profile early on, and although it may have given me a little extra latitude, it seemed to damage my colors, so since then I've just been using the "standard" color profile. My lens is a 12mm SLR Magic and I really like it. (Looks like a 24mm because of the crop)

Kinda bad actually. You can get some bad macro-blocking (which looks even worse than just normal digital "grain") in underexposed areas, especially gradients. From the sound of it, the A7S is much better choice for low light shooting.

nictheartist...i thought the window was there for a sort of diversion or even a prop. The viewer might think maybe something would jump through the window and shock the audience in an unexpected way--it left you guessing so I thought this video was very well done.
