Respect to the actor playing the main character. Those opening few seconds when he's just staring, he could have been staring at anything - something on an in-car screen, waiting for another car to move in front of him, just blankly staring waiting to pick someone up - but he silently and motionlessly gave off extreme stress-vibes. All in his eyes, I guess - in other words, good acting. Also respect to the writer/director because the would-be criminal immediately ditched whatever plan he had when the situation became even remotely creepy - although that was a bit too late to escape.

A logical way that it could be making that sound (in universe wise) is it does a thing that some animals do, which is it has a flab of skin in it's throught that it moves up and down rapidly, creating a chattering like sound. This is usually used to scare off predditors by making them think you are an animal that also uses it which is a predditor using it to get a better feel on the environment using echolocation.

...And I loved it. It wasn't quite as scary to me as the first, but that may be because I knew what the monster looked like already. Did you do any of your own lighting in the garage? It looks incredible.

Thanks! Yeah the first one benefits from the fact that people probably haven't seen him before -- or maybe the timing just worked better for you. Scaring people is a tricky thing haha. The lighting is pretty much 100% available light. I literally had an emergency flashlight for additional lighting, and couldn't actually use it because it flickered on camera. So all the lighting is just what the garage already had to offer -- and I'm super happy with what it gave me. I wish I could take more credit for that.

Danny Donahue That's pretty awesome; all of your videos really have a cinematic look to them that a lot of other short videos I see just don't live up to. It gives me some inspiration to just go film something, just to see how it looks. Keep making videos and I'll keep watching them! I don't know -- the second one (to me) was just a different type of scary. It seemed like we got a better look at the Moonlight Man in the second one, not a significant difference but just enough to give us a better appreciation for his utter creepiness (and how very good his maker is). That doesn't come across as clearly in the first one, but then again it doesn't need to; in that one, the shock value alone amps up the moment.

PersonaX Sounds like a solid possible explanation - while making the original film, I came up with the idea that he had to haul them into a dark place before phasing back into his own dimension with them in tow - hence the reason he pulls the girl into the trunk in the first one.

Great suspense and awesome creature. I think I like the first one better though. I wish there was an attack to finish it off at the end, just make the final scare more intense.
