Idk about the innovation fund (the new thing their advertising) but I’ve been putting money into Fundrise for about 5 years and have seen excellent returns thus far in their real estate fund… the ads are annoying but I actually have enjoyed the product

@marcialabrahantes33696 ай бұрын
people dont like them and / or communication is hard
@paxdriver6 ай бұрын
Communication with McDonald's employees is hard, what communities don't like is the low skilled jobs being lost to boost incomes of anybody BUT the local workforce. People hate having to work at McDonald's, but what they hate even more is homelessness and losing custody of their children. That's where we're at. PS I worked 18 months at McDonald's in highschool, overnight drive through. It motivated me to study markets and web development instead of sleeping between work and school. For a teenage boy it's gotta be bad to suddenly becom responsible in a culture where 40-year-olds act like entitled babies over pronouns, smelling smoke on a downtown sidewalk, and/or overhearing foul language like "abortion" at a university guest speaking engagement.

It’s ironic that the Tesla vote was nearly identical to the 2018 vote. The one in which the Delaware judge said stockholders were not properly informed. She’s looking pretty dumb.
@neversimon6 ай бұрын
Watch the episode, informed consent wasn't the primary point of contention.
@TrendyStone6 ай бұрын
@@neversimon Having studied her decision…it came down to: 1) Shareholders were not properly informed, 2) The board is not independent enough, and 3) It’s just too much money…and I as a judge get to decide; shareholders be damned. How much is too much? Who knows? Depends on the FEELINGS of random judge that day. The entire case throws shareholder rights out the window…and ultimately will hurt Delaware immensely. It’s good for Texas though…regardless of how the Tesla case ends.
@neversimon6 ай бұрын
@@TrendyStone I didn't say I agreed with the ruling, but IIRC it wasn't just lack of independence but also a lack of negotiation (fiduciary duty).

@@neversimon Yea, I get that. It’s the weakest part of her argument. I suspect she’s political and simply hates Musk. In any case, it will be fun to watch the drama unfold. I have no dog in this fight but do enjoy my model 3.

Naive take by Ed on Tesla. The vote is significant. The judges ruling won’t stick on appeal. If Delaware judges think they can simply overrule shareholders as they please it will be calamitous for the court system. The plaintiff had 9 shares ffs- what a politically motivated shit show.
