Such a clear view. Trees are like lace against the clouds. The crunch of the snow makes one feel as though they are walking in it beside you. You can even feel the cold against you wow good video. Ty

I've saved some of the beginning for later and am watching now. I wanted to see what it was like then for you while knowing what is happening now. I have about 35 more videos before I'm caught up and I'm actually making a list of my favorites. This one goes in as one of them. It is because of the story to speak of as you hiked around the property. One man did not like this property, and one man is making it his home, his paradise, and loves every inch of it. I can only imagine what was going through your head at the time. The excitement of an upcoming build of your cabin. BTW, I like the mousetrap. I'm going to give this a try in my own yard here.

I get a chuckle everytime I see you drive through Norwood on Number 7 highway. Tina and I drive that stretch quite often, and now we wonder if we have ever passed you on the way to your cabin, or on your way home!

wow, it s really living the dream for me. it s funny how we both like the same vehicles, I used to own a yellow 1999 450 manual honda foreman, just like yours. man, I loved that atv, after I changed the tires, there was no place I ever got stuck, big spider 6 ply tires. the steering never was any issue for me. and your cruiser is automatic, boy, it must be quite thirsty.... I have the 6 speed manual, and it guzzles a lot of money... it s the only thing I can complain though, the thing is a tank! I never figured I d like it as much as I do now. but it drinks a lot more than my yaris for sure... I really like your tips for the shelter, I hope I will not have to sleep in the cruiser for long. good show Russ!!!

Hey Russell, wouldn't it be good if you recreate this walk around your property now. Then you could do a composite side-by-side video of then and now...

If I did it right now, it would look exactly the same. LOL

Nice place you have there. Just found your channel. Never thought of antifreeze but have used peanut butter and water in the past. How many acres do you have there? In Montana here what area is your property does not look elk but deer country there.
@RaspberryRockOffGridCabin4 жыл бұрын
Target we have 180 acres. And yes we do have elk, they were introduced here about 20 years ago and are flourishing.
@targetrock60724 жыл бұрын
I have only got to watch about your first dozen or so but tend on watching all till I catch up👍. Elk hunting is my favorite around here. Not sure if you got one yet but hope you keep your freezer full🤣. Thanks for sharing your videos.

Very pretty. Like the "critter catcher."
@RaspberryRockOffGridCabin8 жыл бұрын
Thanks. It's such a simple catcher. I still use it, just put the bucket under the cabin.

I'm sure several people have asked this question how far is it from your Toyota to the cabin?
@RaspberryRockOffGridCabin5 жыл бұрын
Many people have asked, but it's part of the job of being a youtuber to answer questions over and over. We get used to it. The trail is 3km.

Just found your videos. I like them a lot. Just noticed in this one you have a Honda. What made you switch brands and go to a can am?
@RaspberryRockOffGridCabin6 жыл бұрын
I was looking for something with power steering, and to be honest this can am was the first thing that came up.

Do you need planning permission to build out there..?
@RaspberryRockOffGridCabin6 жыл бұрын
Yes Susan you need a building permit. Technically this is a hunt camp, and the rules are very lax.
@Tyler-wk4ym7 жыл бұрын
Are there bears there? I'm wondering because of your food tub.
@RaspberryRockOffGridCabin7 жыл бұрын
Hi Tyler, there can be bears in any wilderness area in Ontario, but I haven't seen any sign on my property. I have no doubt they're not far, though. But there's usually plenty to eat for them. And now that I have dog scent all around the cabin, I doubt I'll see any.
