Your string programming is just🤌🤌 And that nylon guitar riff with that bass sounded so amazing!

Thank you James!. Strings are always the hardest so that means much :)). And yeah, a little easter egg I found while doing this. Sounds like a piece of music on its own.

Interesting bits: 2:59 - Nutty solo flute line 5:40 - The cool beat, start's at 5:45 (kind of reminds of those preset rhythms you'd find on an old Casio or Yamaha) 6:38 - That crotales is out of tune 😫 7:26 - Groovy-smoovy bass line 7:44 - Sweet little nylon guitar riff, you don't hear it in the mix, but isolated, it sounds so good. 9:18 - Fast pizzicato solo strings passage. What is there more to say? (also followed by some cool staccato passages) 12:14 - The sweeping romantic legato-espressivo strings passage

Sounds so beautiful, How do you EQ the Cinematic Studio Strings ? This is precious
@SamuelStalderOST3 жыл бұрын
Hi William! Glad you liked the mix :)). So I use fabfilter Pro Q3. The way I do my strings mix is by increasing the high cut until it sounds thin, but not gritty. However, not muddy either. It's in between that. I'll also remove some of the mid to lessen the boxiness of the sound. Particularly the 5khz band on the violins. Next I remove the uneeded low cut frequencies for each instrument to add more clarity. Let me clarify this probably only works with CSS as other libraries record with less muddiness I've found. Hopefully that helped!

Will you back and make more videos? Or you forget your password?
@SamuelStalderOST Жыл бұрын
Hey Pink Crocodile! Life got very busy since last year for me with a lot of industry work so it's been a bit hard to keep the channel up. But if it gives you hope, I have recently started on a mockup from E.T. :). Though not sure when that will be out 😅

Would you be able to share the midi files, Id love to play around with them
@SamuelStalderOST3 жыл бұрын
I'll see if I can. At the moment, it's quite busy for me and creating a logic file with all the MIDI and stems does take time, but I'll definitely let you know about it when that happens.

Hey Dakota. I manage this channel when I have a bit of free time. At the moment, I'm quite busy with other music related projects, but I always make a note of what people would like to see. I've added your track to the list.
