2D Yeah, I guess R&C2 is my favourite in the series too. I've completed 1-3 and Gladiator about 20 times each, but I think I had the most fun in second one. It was just the most "deep" one for me. Most dark and yet the funniest of all.

I have to give that prize to the first game, it had some of the most imaginative, expansive, and colourful game worlds - not only in the series - but on the PS2. Levels like Metropolis, Aridia, and Novalis took me to places that I hadn't yet expected to see in a video game.

I remember thinking that this was the final level when I first played the game as a kid. The explanation for why you're going here seems pretty big, the enemies are the toughest you've faced up to that point (there's a noticeable spike in how much damage they can take and dish out), and the level theming and music seems completely different from Veldin in the first game, and it made sense to me that they were mixing it up! I thought this was a cool direction!

You know, in my opinion this has to be the best Ratchet and Clank game. Don't get me wrong, I love the other PS2 ones, (I wish the same could be said for the PS3 ones. :/) but I think Going commando had the best balance. The original had barely any emphasis on weapons and gadgets, which isn't a bad thing but having more weapons is definitely a plus. Honestly, I know people suck up to Up Your Arsenal all the time, but I think that had TOO much combat in it. I love the combat like I said, but it just doesn't feel like a Ratchet and Clank game. Same thing for Deadlocked. Btw, HK22 gun is love, HK22 gun is life.
@PsychadelicoDuck9 жыл бұрын
I'd agree. In some respects, RC2 is one of the roughest games in the series, being a period of transition. At the same time, being a transition meant that it really nailed both sides at the same time.
@notoriouscasual50046 жыл бұрын
I felt ratchet and clank going commando is the best of the series, followed by up your arsenal and a crack in time. Hoing commando had so many frustrating moments in levels that made it so fun to replay again and once you did, it felt so fucking satisfying to win. Imo it had the most interesting storyline involving a "senile" old ceo trying to create a pet in his own mindset to recover it and distribute it to the world, which turned into a whole newer story after the first third of the game, now into a mission to save thw galaxy from said pet. The weapons are by far the most creative in the series, with the seeker gun, bouncer, lava gun, plasma coil, spiderbot, and shield charger. This game also has the best RYNO in the series imo. Each level is very unique in what its design delivers and the purpose of you being there, and they all feel fresh and arent recycled, with the exeption of tabora and grelbin. The final level imo is the most inpactful in the series, thw ship levels were fun as hell. While the villian being Quark was kinda underwhelming as wrll as the giant protopet being the final boss, thw game still manages to deliver a lot of great qualities that games now a days rarely do.

The jetpack section turned out to be a breeze since I was no longer like 8 years old, and I think after that it sounded a little less creepy, but even now, even years after that, I still get a little freaked out when I think about this track.
