Finally got back to working on this, nothing is set in stone with this project so i'm not gonna raise anyone's hopes by answering any questions.

well that is third project I have seen. And those two ended badly. If not mistake the first one is abandoned and the second got copyright claim. Even though the second project were ahead of this one. But I will hope and pray to all gods to accomplish this project.

The nostalgia factor on this is great, but you could totally make a game with non-copyright IP and it would be awesome. It would be the first good scifi 3D platformer in years.

Didn't think my jaw could drop much further until the visual background I've seen towards the video. You've perfectly captured the PS2-era asthetic where the "mystery" beyond where you stand holds a much stronger point than the PS3 era.

Rift Apart has platforming? I've only played for about 30min on a friend's PS5 (I can't afford one) but I was disappointed by the lack of platforming in the bit that I played. You can't even crouch/high jump anymore.

@@ErdrickHero I finished the whole game, this short youtube video has more platforming then that entire game. Rift apart felt like a ps5 tech demo it had no heart and soul

@@Schizobateman rift apart had a good story and etc but it became was like deadlocked in my opinion, i really liked the ps2 and 3 games for the most part jus they had a good balance. In tools of destruction, you need to do a lotta platforming to get to the arena for example, or in Full Frontal Assault, you gotta platform and collect weapons. I feel like rift apart just gave everything to you, while doing that it discouraged exploration. I watched 2 playthroughs and on both of them the players didn't find any armor parts. Cuz there is no reason to. You can just beat the game while walking in a straight path.

That looks amazing, if only you could've worked on the original R&C2 back then. The bolts given from the crates looks crazy, you get so many bolts the counter overflowed and presumably went into negative bolts.

I'm loving the gameplay similarities between this demo and the original title, the first Ratchet and Clank never really got a spiritual sequel with the focus insomniac made toward the 3rd person shooter aspects. Lemme hit that phat sub button for you my guy.

I actually hand-wrote my own game scripts for R&C back when I was 15 years old and I still have them today. I included my own weapons, gadgets, enemies, bosses, skill points and planets. I even have illustrations. What's funny is that some of my ideas made it into the mainline games. I titled the games: Ratchet and Clank Beatdown Ratchet and Clank Royal Flush Ratchet and Clank Time Shift I'd love to collaborate if anyone is interested. I'm much older now and I may need to polish my old writings.
