Paying attention to your opponents assists, very important indeed. I usually try to imagine how my opponent is gonna play based on the assists he has and what he can cover, just to be better prepared in the actual match. I like the idea of frametrapping with assists. Not going for a sick mix-up when you have an assist looks sometimes like a "waste", but I should probably include this more in my blockstrings. I can still go for a cross-up or DR afterwards anyway. Good and very helpful video as always!

Man rath thanks again for more knowledge i been putting them in combos but 2 questions 1? Is it Super Dash + Assist or is it Super Dash then Assist... 2? Is vanish to extend combos a dumb thing to do or should i super instead...

1) the goal is to time th assist so it hits right after the superdash does (so that you can be plus from the superdash). The timing depends on the assist. Faster assists like bardock A, you should time right as the superdash makes contact. Slower assists need to be called sooner. 2) vanishing to extend combos cn be good if it helps you KO when you otherwise couldn't. Like when you have 4 bars, but 3 level 1s might not KO. Even simply adding on a vanish > DR > super super super at the end of a long combo can be the little bit extra you need sometimes! Some characters like k.buu and yamcha have optimal combos using vanishes fairly early on too. You'll need to decide if the extra damage is worth it or the positioning you get is worth it!

air backdash has a lot of recovery while still in the air :( But luckily you can still act during most of that recovery, so it is possible to save ourselves with an air super or j.L if we are fast enough when we see a superdash.. This is something I'm trying to work on...

Rath be talking like it’s a perfect world and you have a perfect game plan every game...sometimes u play real good players and u need your assist to force ppl to block so your offense can get going... but everything your saying sounds great if we lived in a perfect world and later perfect games of dragon ball with typical opponents.... but we not, we playing crazy, randoms and just wild ppl online and just need to force ppl to block for a second just to get our game plan going

Thass literally wat he was talking about the problem is that throwin ur assist out at random in neutral and hoping for them to block don’t work all the time so u need to do a move urself that locks the opponent in and then call the assist . Everything he mentioned is specifically for situations not in a “perfect world” real good players or whatever u wanna call it will avoid ur assist in neutral and them doin nothin and blockin it is the perfect world here especially wen u don’t make sure they WILL block it type shit
