The Ginga suit was designed by KidSuper in collaboration with Vini Jr, a Brazilian soccer player. The design is based on the Brazilian soccer team's uniform (kinda) while the colors are based on the flag (Green and yellow with a black sphere with white stars in it)

You can actually create some form of "comic filter" by using the accessibility features. Add in a black outline to every character including enemies, activate the comic book bubbles, play around with the brightness and contrast and you're good. You can even map the accessibility features on one of the two shortcut buttons so you can activate or deactivate them whenever you feel like in game. I personally created a Noir filter by making everything black and white, lowering brightness to 0 and maxing contrast. It looks stunning when it rains and since the sky is black it looks like night rain. Given I'm done with the game, don't have much to do and am good at playing it, I also hide every UI. The immersion is real.

The animated Miles suit is from Ultimate Spider-Man show btw. So if they wanted a suit to pair with it they’d add Ultimate Spider-Man show Peter. He doesn’t have red on his sleeves so he’s actually different from the Classic suit.

The motorcycle suit is probably a reference to that one episode from the last animated series where Spidey fought a villian who used bano tech. Miles's animated suit looks very similar to his look from the ultimate Spider-Man series.

100% Agree about the animated suits, the one and only time I have used a cell shaded suit, the Spider Verse Suit, was in the scorpion hallucination mission, because the specific drug trip disconnect from reality as is means Peter appearing the be visually disconnected in this way works for me, but otherwise I never use them.

In defense of the Uptown Pride suit it's more than just a recolor having unique fabrics and textures but it's important because of what it represents, being made in homage to the Black Lives Matter movement

Istg, Insomniac original suits are pretty much a 50/50. You either get an overdesigned slop that could've been better used for another suit or you have the Advanced Suit and Miles Morales' suit (not the "Miles Morales Original")

The story behind the new suits is that insomniac collaborated with fashion designer kidsuper, singer Rina Sawayama F1 driver Lando Norris and Professional Football player Vini Jr. that’s why all the suits are themed the way that they are and why they are all bad fashion designers don’t make good fashion in general let alone a good superhero suit and making clothes that look good in real life Vs making a good superhero suit don’t translate into each other

Well about the lack of an animated peter suit. It won't work too well but you can use the classic symbiote suit with the 4th suit color which kind of matches. It won't be a perfect fit but a bandaid is a bandaid.

Why do concept artist love to make Spider-Man suits that don’t look like Spider-Man? I personally hate when the outfit is just clothes. It was cool when it was an original idea like Last Stand. But when a suit is just an outfit or has a hood I don’t really like it.

@@AntonioRedgrave The Eyes aren’t accurate to the movies and have this weird shape to them in game since Launch. A shame cause I’m one of the few people who like it. Oh, and this may be a minor nitpick, but Pete’s Red/Black Upgraded Suit still uses the retconned Far From Home version with the black stripes on the waist, instead of the way better No Way Home version which removed those black stripes for a traditional Spidey belt. It is a minor change, but it made the Suit a whole lot better for me.

@@AntonioRedgrave Basically, compare it in SM2 to the first game or the movies, or even the Iron Spider to the other main MCU suits & the eyes aren't right. All of them are supposed to have the ones that were on the Stark Suit, but the ones on the Iron Spider are inaccurate & look like they belong on the 90s Spider-Man's mask than that one. Something happened when they were porting it from the first game to 2 where they're angled wrong.

I wouldn't mind it as much if they had the FFH variant up until May cleans it for Peter, then they have a throwaway line saying he tweaked it after she finished cleaning it. But, no. They just begin the movie with the new one in the recreation of the final scene in FFH with it on.

I'd venture a guess that it was easier to add the legacy suits and swap the color pallets versus designing a whole new suit for Arachno-Man. Hopefully if they eventually make a DLC campaign where they'll add more new suits that aren't just collaborations

Noooo the reason why we're not getting the story DLC is because Insomniac is working on 3+ games at the same time. The byproduct of this is that now SM2 has to play catch up by quickly adding features and suits that were in previous games, which then leads to bugs and issues, which then leads to Insomniac having to rush a hot fix, which then leads to *more* issues, rinse and repeat.
