TBH the midna tribute is kinda nostalgic to me. See, In Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, a game not much older than GM, we had maps called Trickjump Maps. In these maps, sometimes, you would have the ENTIRE FUCKING MAP plastered in tits and porn. There were also maps with tributes to characters like Midna, even ones that only modified Swia Oasis, Railgun and the other vanilla maps. These maps were ones I found as a kid and while they were extremely confusing, this kinda gives me that same vibe... just, yknow, not on as large of a scale. Shoutout to the many oldschool trickjumpers who blew my mind as a kid, the MLB mapping trio for *many* memories, Grey Matter Interactive and all the old-school mappers from 2003-2009

Even CS and TF2 had a ton of maps that were "map, but with wall textures replaced with nsfw" floating around, just waiting for a server owner to download and implement into their server. For maps that have tributes to random characters, I could at least get the point of those. But for the life of me I can't wrap my head around titspam maps aside from "sex funni XD!!".

The thing at 4:01 is actually in Half-Life 2! Or at least, the way props behave inside it is. In the final Citadel chapters where you have the super gravity gun, you can come across a Combine device in which you can throw enemies and they'll float around like that, complete with blue particle effects. I assume that the mapper extrapolated that behaviour from the base game, just like they lifted the functional crane from the coast map.

If you're looking for more old gmod maps with interesting features, I managed to preserve one and upload it onto the steam workshop. It's Gm_Orbit v3. It has flyable spaceships and various spawners for items. The map was made back in around November of 2005.

"Pool's Closed" mene explaination: it's a Habo Hotel event where a group of people from a website adorning a clover and the number 4 just blocked off the pool on Habo Hotel. Usually with a character designed with black skin, tuxedo and an afro. The excuse being current events from around the time 2005 - 2009. The meme was considered legendary at its time, nowadays its known for the poster "pool's closed" and people just scratch their heads in confusion.
