I have worked on farm equipment to school busses. Finding a torsion bar front suspension is my favorites as it makes a smooth ride, reducers front suspension components and is easily adjustable. (Tech Tip; apply an anti size compound on the head nut, bolt, curved washer bushings and nut threads. I am OCD when it comes to anti seize and dielectric grease on electrical items. I can't help it. I achieved my ASE Masters Certification at a Datsun / Nissan dealership. I am glad you choose this for your build. DK, Omaha, NE.

Thanks Randy. Happy to hear that. Sometimes I feel that my English is not good enough.😬

Your English is just fine. If it is a second language it is very good. I like the fact that you give both metric and imperial mrasurements. Good job!👍🇨🇦

You're a good teacher. You make it simple to understand. I wouldn't have taken into account all the points of the geometry 👍

Thanks Diff had no idea that Nissan was a torsion front end that could make for some different kind of projects, and I know from watching you you like to your rusty old metal in tack but to have room to work I believe I would have cut the inner fenders for the room and re-welded them for cause of effect

Awesome mate, the only thing unclear is whether you bought new torsion bar bolts that you are using, or are those the stock bolts(they look brand new to my eye) - are those aftermarket or stock bolts? Maybe you said it and I missed it...
@ratrodsafrica2 жыл бұрын
The bolts and everything else is stock and original. Nothing new. Did clean them some with the wire brush, maybe that's why they look new😅
@hehunches2 жыл бұрын
@@ratrodsafrica Aha, that's why they look new that explains it! Thanks! Wasn't sure if I would have to order something, but that's what you said, without spending a penny! I love it. I'm all about improvements that cost 0 in parts and I'm happy to learn, so the time invested is time well spent. Great video, awesome overview, in depth description for a non engineer to understand, I'm no mechanic and sometimes because I don't know the names of things, mechanics roll their eyes. But you have to learn somehow!

You just crank down the tortion bars.
