Take front suspension off again fit a 20mm thick spacer between the bulkhead and suspension. That will centalise your wheel in the arch and give u the extra space when raising or lowering the ride height. Amazing build. Gonna look awesome with those flared wheel arches.

6:12 Would it be more beautiful (and easier/quicker) to widen the rear fenders at the bolt line ? It would make the rear really sexy... Everybody likes a nice a solid rear end...
@ratrodsafrica7 ай бұрын
😁 Let's see how it turns out...
@koningbolo47007 ай бұрын
@@ratrodsafrica The same goes for the front fenders. Though it is more work to widen the doors also but you would gain some storage space in the front door AND it would look much better... Also widening the front fender through the headlight bucket would make it possible to install two headlights on either side (BMW 3 and 5 series styly) which would make it even more cool... Image it: Wide, fat fenders, double headlights, wide tires, low stance... the wife would make the blizz in town... The reno bug would have that fat porche look and feel if you widen the fender to match what the rubber wants the steel to do...

Personally, i think moving the front wheels forward 20mm would be less work than all the body work on the fenders. I know it's never fun to go back and redo what's already been done. As a mechanic/fabricator i hate redoing anything. The first time is fun. The second time is work lol. Regardless of what path you chose i am sure it will look great and be a proper job.
@hqlion7 ай бұрын
I’d widen the guards instead of flares. It’s a lot more work, but more hot rod style. Whatever you go with it’s still a great project you’re doing.
@larrymcgarage21527 ай бұрын
Another option would be to narrow the front beam and extend the front beam 20 mm. It would save a lot of bodywork.

Thats hot rodding - unplaned modifications to correct the planed modifications! As for the wheel centering the fender, i know that there are some guys do use more shims between the frame and the front beam to lengthen the wheelbase. They even do make 25cm ones when i last looked into them decades ago. This toy will be fast Div, test drive it well before handing over to the wife! Thanks.
