So many people don't break use this is Stephens real voice even from in the late 80/90s. All the shows had added sound and vocals added. I did 4 tours with them in the late 80s. Stephen to this day is still doing good in 2023, he beat cancer, won the RATT rites, has a great relationship with his daughter, gotten healthy, and is 66. His new lady love has done wonders for him. Agree all bands, actors etc age......let them have fun.

Stop it. It's not 'awesome'. These guys are as old as me and as much as I liked them, they aren't a patch on what they were (vocally), the same as many 80's bands I loved. We all age and it's time to give it up before it becomes ridiculous. We have the albums.
@thomaskotkowski1328
@thomaskotkowski1328 Жыл бұрын
I believe the negativity comes from the same exact place it came from in the 80's. I have seen RATT many times now going back to 1985. The band was always tight but the vocals suck live. No disrespect to Pearcy, but he absolutely is a studio singer that absolutely sucks live. Every single time I have seen them he was the problem. Age has zero to do with that as he sucked live from day 1.

I don't mind this. As a big fan of Ratt, I appreciate the effort, and that they keep on going. These guys are not 25 years old anymore. Nothing last forever, I understand that. I understand Pearcy is older, he's gone through a lot, booze and drug wise. I get that. I know Pearcy's voices is damaged now. But it is what it is, and I still love the band and their music. I think people aren't considering these facts, and being too hard on the guy. I know he's not good anymore, not like the old days. But he's as good as he can be RIGHT NOW. That's what's important. Enjoy the music, support the band, and be happy they are still around to do shows. If you're at the show, you're there singing along anyway to you're favorite tunes, pumping your fist to your favorite band. You're not there being a critic, at least I hope not. I don't know why I trying reason with people. In the end, the true fans are fine with it, and the false fans aren't. If everybody hated it, the like/dislike ratio would be different.

It's sad seeing so many negative comments. Give the guy a break. He was never a true vocalist to begin with. But his style was unique when he was younger. His voice is clearly strained here, as it was for much of 2007-2012. All those shows aren't good for his voice. Check out their shows from this year. He sounds way better now that they tour on a lighter schedule.

This concert is way better than one of the times seeing them in Massachusetts back in the 80's. The sound tech's had Juan's backing vocals too loud for the entire show. Plus, the setlist is predominately early Epic Ratt.

@t-boog2173
@t-boog2173 5 жыл бұрын
@@mowensanty I couldn't see if he was using a wireleas but if so, you may be right in that it was interference(or a dying battery). It wasn't a gate though. It was too intermittent, his sustain was fine and it happened even while he was strumming. I'm thinking it may have been a problem with the house board feed. In which Warren nor his tech could hear it. After all, everytime time it happened, Warren showed no reaction and we didn't see a tech scrambling either. Anyway, whatever it was, it irritated the crap outta me. Cheers Bro!

@@mowensantyI hear you but if it was a gate, it would've happened much more consistently and on the trail end of notes and chords and def not cut out right when he struck a chord at very rare & random moments. When it cut out, he would strum and get nothing yet a couple seconds later, he had perfect sustain. The only way a gate could do that is if some joker was playing with the threshold knob. If your right that it only happened on one guitar and he was using a wireless, it was prob the transmitter for that guitar giving problems via a dying battery or as you said, interference. Almost all pro guitarist who use wireless, use diff transmitters on diff guitars and on diff frequencies. I still find it funny that Warren never reacted to it though. If he heard it, he's a pro at keeping a poker face. Cheers!

The audio is raw and recorded cold from soundboard. I wish the band would take this footage, remaster the audio, and officially release it to fans. Look what Motley Crue did with their Carnival of Sins DVD, or the Dokken 2016 Reunion show. Ratt needs that type of quality too, because a lot of the footage out there doesn't do Ratt justice and just gives people bad impressions.

@@kingofdragontown9680 The band sounds fine here, its just Pearcy strained vocals that are the problem. But this was 2012. The 3 shows they've done this year, Pearcy has sounded good. Way better than this show for sure. Pearcy still has it in him, as long as he has good rest between shows. They were just touring like crazy between 2007-2012. Which isn't good for Pearcy at his age.

@@MetalMaster101 I changed my stance, after having heard some of the shows this year. He does have when there's some breaks between shows.

First of all I Love Ratt and have seen them, front row, in concert. Will always love them and have them for inspiration. I wasn't really impressed with the lead vocals in the beginning, but OMG... who's singing the high part? Fuckin Awesome....

Warren’s guitar keeps cutting out. You can hear it with headphones. It’s cutting out.

Holy crap... it's like trying to listen to Ozzy. Grew up on Ozzy, Ratt, Cinderella etc... but not many of them can hold a tune to save their lives these days. I wanna go back to the 80's and stay there when all these awesome groups were in their fucking prime.

damn, people complaining about Stephen's voice, do NOT watch ANY Van Halen with DLR during their quick reunion...This is great compared to poor Dave's voice...

They are both in the same boat. Time to quit. I think the same........they had their time, we enjoyed it, and will never forget them or feel comfortable with their replacements. (in DLR's case)

Amen. If you think Steven's voice has eroded, just listen to Don Dokken. Awful. The bass player here is spot on, super!

The band sounds excellent, maybe the sound engineering for this video is not the best, it feels like it's not mixed and that's not good for the band's image.
