Interesting take. I’ve been a fan a Ratt since my very first tape (shows my age) I bought was Invasion of Your Privacy. I freaking love that album. I respect your ranking, but IOYP is number one for me. Crosby’s songwriting is WAY underrated. His songs had this sadness and weight to them. Also love hearing Warren panned hard to one side and Robin panned hard to the other for rhythms. And the tone. This is apex Marshall Super Lead tone just dripping off this album.

I love Invasion, it felt a little to pop metal to me with Got Me On The Line. 2 or 3 fillers imo, that being said the riff in Lay and Your In love are world class. Lay is a masterpiece because what is it? Its a hybrid ballad imo. And it defines the sleezy sneering vocals of Pearcy. If you put ACDC, Priest, and GNR in a blender you get Ratt. Ratt were always heavier than their contemporaries. Cool sleezy bluesy hard rock. When all these bands started wearing pink lipstick and neon glitter nonsense, Ratt when more black leather as you will notice from album to album

I'm 58yrs and seen Ratt live in 84' 85' 87' (you know what tours they were) and in 2019. Cellar & Invasion are tops, but you really underestimate Infestation that I would put up there right with them.

RATT was always one of my favorite bands next to KISS, W.A.S.P., Cinderella and Dokken. I’d rank them as follows… 1- Out Of The Cellar 2- Invasion Of Your Privacy 3- RATT ep 4- Dancing Undercover 5- Detonator 6- Reach For The Sky 7- Infestation 8- RATT

Great list!!.....INVASION is my #1.....DETENATOR#2....i Saw RATT in 1985 ...thier 1st headlining tour,,,INVASION....Bon Jovi was the opening band...i was 14 ..in the front....GENERAL ADMISSION was...12.50 !

I’ve been a RATT fan from the beginning and honestly love all their 80’s stuff and saw them twice in 85 and 87 but I agree. Nobody Rides for Free is my favorite song and would have to add the Re Masters to the list only because the song was originally on Point Break Sound Track.

I think I'd go: #1 Detonator #2 Dancing Undercover #3 Infestation #4 Reach for the Sky #5 Invasion of Your Privacy #6 Out of the Cellar But they're all really great albums! I think RATT is very underrated.

some crazy choices there my good man, but I respect it. For me my top 3 are. Invasion of your privacy Out of the cellar Detonator I would say I really like infestation. As reunions go it was definitely one of the better ones

I love your ranking videos! 7. Infestation 6. Reach For the Sky.... not a fan of the production and the songs are really inconsistent, but it's by no means bad 5. Detonator 4. Ratt....I like this album too, the first half I always thought was really strong and the second half is held together by my favorite song on the album (and one of my favorite Ratt songs of all time It Ain't Easy) 3. Out of the Cellar 2. Invasion of Your Privacy....my favorite sounding Ratt album, there is just a grit to this album that I love 1. Dancing Undercover.... it's maybe a little too produced, but otherwise this is the perfect Ratt album for me, love every song, and it's pretty much always been my favorite ratt album...at one point in time, back in high school this was my favorite album of all time....I wouldn't go that far with it anymore but I still love this album!

My ranking. I like Infestation a lot more than you do. I can't see anything but that self titled being last. If I added Collage, it would be 2nd to last, between self titled and Reach.

There are alot of great singers in the music Business but Pearcy's voice was outstanding. My all time favorite is Invasion also Love the Cover . Nice list dude

Interesting choices. I can' t get into the '99 album, but the rest i dig big time. the ultimate version of 'Back For More' was on their debut LP witch had 5 songs on it, including 'You Think You're tough that has a great hook/bridge.

I may not agree with the order but there's no argument that Warren was the star there. His playing on Lay It Down is masterful. They were all solid musicians who contributed a lot to the band. I saw Ratt on the Dancin Undercover tour. It was great. Poison opened. Saw them again three or four years later and the bill had flipped.

Great review, you missed the EP album! It’s got like 5 songs on it! You think your tough is a great song on it! I’ve seen Ratt, 7 times first time was 84 opening for 38 special! Then same yr opening for billy squire! Last time was on the reach for the sky tour! Great band live! Well I think🤷🏻‍♂️, I was a teenager and ummm maybe doing some things I shouldn’t have 🤦‍♂️😂! I have to say invasion is my fav album!

I loved the first 4 including the demo type album with Sweet Cheater and You think you’re tough!” but they started to lose me with Reach for the Sky and I moved on after that to death metal. Detonator sucked IMO.

Could not agree more, this should have been their Detonator. Far more current with the times, great bass grooves almost feels punk. Now the second Arcade is awful

Where to begin?!!? Detonator was a sad attempt to just please can we get a hit song. Ratt spent their heyday chasing ROUND. DETONATOR is second worst. Worst that 1999 Sony album Best - Cellar 2. Dancin Under Cover 3. Invasion 4. Reach I'm 52 and bought Reach the day it came out and I have no idea what I'm lookin g at with this cover.

First of all your missing the EP which is a great record but I'm sorry Ratt's best albums are out of the cellar and invasion of your privacy. You can rank dance dance,reach for the sky, detonator in any order you want but cellar and invasion must be 1 and 2 and to me the EP has to be 3 c'mon man.

That's what's great about music, especially 80's metal. We can disagree on who's our favorite band or album, but at the end of the day we're all fans of the same art. My friends and I would argue over Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Oz while drinking beers in the woods, and I loved every second of it!!!!! No judgement, just opinions. Nothing personal, just common ground on our love of music!! Great video as always Sean!!

I have to agree the first 2 albums and the ep are their best. Then I would say dancing Undercover it has slip of the lip and one of their best songs imo body talk. Then reach for the sky and detonator
