I watched your video and I work for Scania in Melbourne Australia. The new gen trucks are selling real well here and most people driving them love em'. The V8s are awesome!! Take care and safe driving all you truckers over there !!!

Yep, that's the Swedes for you. Comfort, safety and easy driving (although I've only experienced their cars). My absolute favourite Scania is the T cab. I still remember the first time I saw one and it was definitely love at first sight. Hopefully some of the Scania advertising team will pick up this video; it'd be a brilliant testament to their trucks. Hope you get more Scanias to drive. 🚛 😉

Hello mate. Thanks for a new vlog. I can see why Scania is a good truck. The amount of different tests and how they do test drives across Sweden and also in different countries in Europe before new trucks or even engines are out for sale. Then they also use to do extensive research with drivers about how they would like to change details and placement of buttons and switches. I do remember, when working at the plant I Sődertälje building the trucks, how the bosses at the assembly line was checking the quality of the work that was done at each station before the truck went on to the next crew on the line. Quality checks all over. I liked working at the plant because the care they took of the employees. Offering education for more complicated work stations, rental apartments that the workers could rent for a really good price. Healthcare at the plant and so on. It is like a small town in the town. When working there you feel taken care of by the company. So there is many things that makes Scania a super truck. At least for me. But as I have said before. I am a little bit old school so I prefer a older Scania. But I agree that the new ones are very nice to drive. Anyway, enough from me for now. Take care and drive safe.

Thanks for sharing your experience. They are brilliantly built with a lot of quality. You know the saying you get what you pay. And nice to hear they take care of the employees aswell. Well done 👍

My first Scania drive was a 52 plate rigid, (p cab... I think...?), manual gearbox 4 over 4, absolute headache to drive to begin with, as through no fault of my own, but everything I had driven so far was an automatic. But as the day went on, completely fell in love with it, great truck. My dad used to drive a 82m back in the late 80's early 90's, and was a lovely truck, so comfortable for the time.

Have to say I love a Scania. They inspire confidence and handle great. Cabs are just the right dimensions, power delivery is great and the traction I find is always superior. They are quality and I personally don't think anything tops them.

DAF have made an improvement with their current line up, such as the XG+, which power aside is probally the best Trampers truck on the market, but has a price tag to match, no longer the Gaffers choice, which is in the hands of MAN, Merc and Iveco now. It doesn't beat the Scania for Trunking though.

I used to drive a P94D. Everything about it was tired or ropey, but it is still the benchmark. Now I'm in a DAF CF 530. The steering wheel rim is too thick and awkward; and when I'm not fighting the Traxon gearbox shift programming, I'm fighting the climate control automation. Aside from that, it's ok.

12 years on scanias fleet trucks running 24 7 all different drivers broke down twice. Back in the day i drove merc actros and axors broke down so many times it was like a bad joke. Funny enough the Renaults always made it home volvos were a bit crap when heavy at the front. Had a new iveco demonstrator recently s way looks like a scania crap brakes diff lock switch where the headlight switch should be wouldnt move in 1 inch of snow with the lift axle up and the headlights on sorry diff lock. Got an ex ws r450 tag now and so far its been a great truck keeps going when others get stuck 100 percent reliable so far buy once cry once get a scania.
DAF does have best interior but scania and volvo got the power

If it wasn't for the Swedes in the late 60's/70's we would still be driving Leylands.Albions.GUY's.Dodge's.Maudsley.ERF.Foden's and a whole mixture of Ancient antiquated things that had all the comfort of a poxy deckchair sat on the beach in middle of winter in a howling gale! with plain glass for windows!. mind had power Steering! "with the power of your arms". Cruise control "steady foot" ABS"as the brakes often failed to work or in a prescribed manner!" or they fired you through windscreen!.Night heaters!!! We didn't even have Heating!. We had some shite back then mind some was better for tech available at time but they was made for the buyer not the drivers! you was just an after thought. I completely agree with you on this one!! At my work we have Mercedes Actros 2545, Volvo FH460 and Scania R450. Without doubt I would pick the Scania over them all! It is absolutely superb. The 2019 Mercedes is noisy and the gearbox is absolutely shocking! The 2020 Volvo is very good, lots of low down torque, very quiet and smooth but it’s audio system really lets it down. A little more than normal voice levels and the speakers start distorting, no DAB and only one BT device. There’s a few other little niggles too. But, the Scania is so good, I would actually use one as my personal vehicle if I could. The stereo is awesome with loads of volume, brilliant bass and you can connect 2 Bluetooth devices at once to it so you can have the works phone plus your personal phone, it has apple car play, DAB, plus many other things that the others don’t have. All our lorries are 2018 or newer but the Scania has so much more equipment in it than the others. Every time I get in a Scania, I’m just happy. I would like to see the new Scania coming out 2023 (so I’m told) but for now I’m very happy in the 2018>
