Malayalis really love their stars, and they genuinely support good content. I watched Aavesham in a fully packed theatre in Gaziabad which is in Utter Pradesh. Everyone went crazy when Fahad Fasil came on screen. I Was quite surprised to see their enthusiasm. Had lots of fun.

Few days ago, I saw Pachuvum athbutha vilakkum.. such a comfort film ! Yesterday Bramayugam blew my mind 🤯🔥 khatarnaak. Planning to watch Joji next. This is BS. Malayalam movies were great from the beginning, and when I say that, I mean since the black and white era and up to the 80's. The 90's were even better. The mid 2000's was great with a new generation experimenting different types of story lines. The thing is, Malayalam industry strives for excellence and story-telling. Also, everyone is an equal behind the scenes so the movie gets done with minimal ego and professionalism. The final product is what you see when a group of people who love art and their profession come together to make something not for just the rupees.

Fahadh Faasil is just amazing, and so is Sajin Gopu. His Ranga's mere "Eda Monee" is enough to bring the house down. The actor is so off-kilter in the film that I loved it, despite its flaws.

Bro sreenivasan is not just an actor . He is one of the best script writer and king of dark comedy . Priyadarshan used sreenivasans work to establish himself and almost all his movies remade in to most of Indian languages . In fact his work even influenced and shaped kerialits out look. Without sreenivasn Malayalam cinema industry is not 100%. Lot of none malayalali reviewers think he is only an actor and to if you grow up watching typical Tamil Telugu movies you are very unlikely to like his works as they required must sophisticated aesthetics sense

If I am notwrong I think the Malayalam movies get its inspiration from Lebanon, Taiwan,South Korean ,Thailand movies etc especially if the story is about family ,friendship and romanc. I have seen lots of similarities between this industries and the Malayalam Industry where acting,raw emotions and humane connection with relatable characters are always on the forefront of their movies including the setting, production design etc which are all so realatable that it always transport you to such places where you have spend your life . Majority of Malayalam movies don't entertain or pamper their movies with Superstar ,glamour and seductive power. They just have full faith on their story ,theeir vision and their capability to deliver it with the support of the amazing cast and productions design which I personally feel contribute a lot in making Malayalam movies so popular as it is today because wgether the movie is set in a village,a college,an office or an urban city you'll always get connected to it .
