Yes, it does involve removing the internal door cover but still quite easy in my opinion.

Great video! Wanting to install these in my RAV4 soon. How long did the light kit take to arrive once you purchased it, & most importantly when do these lights turn on/off (is there a switch to turn them on/off or do they turn on & stay on one the car is started, & when the doors are opened & the car is off?). Please let me know, thanks!

Hi, I think it should take about an hour and less if you have someone helping. In regards to the lights unfortunately it's always on. I did wish it turns on only when ambient lights are on. You could wire it up a relay with an existing ambient light to turn on/off but I've yet to try it

Hi, Yes you can as I installed those afterwards since I still couldn't see the door buttons. If you watch my other video on mods I've installed you can see I have them in my car

Really want to do this to my rav4 but I don't like carbon fibre look, nor blue light. Wish they did a green, or RGB version, and just solid black panel 😥 Great vid though, thanks for the walkthrough bud

Yeah I agree. I think there are other versions out there as I've seen some that can do RGB
