Everyone I've seen has a completely different style of playing. This is such a versatile instrument, it really speaks directly from your spirit. I'm still going to leech some of your techniques though.

At the 3 minute mark, you play it a little bit like a tabla. Love it.

I'm trying to pick 'one' man! you're making even the ones that didn't make the cut sounds great. Really enjoying your technique.

The difference the hands of a master make... I have had one of these for a couple of years & I still can't figure out how he makes some of those sounds.

2:43 please give us a lesson! I can get the note muted and hit the drum off to the side to get SomE of the sound, but holy, it's nowhere near when I come back to this vid

I'm sad that I'll probably never be able to afford one of these beautiful instruments. Oh well at least listening is free :)

Never say never. Keep looking. These are a lot better than the Handpans in terms of price, could be in the range of $500-600 at the lowest. You never know, you might find a deal on one or get one from someone. If there is a will and there is passion, there is a way.

They aren’t that expensive. Just save a little at a time. We afford what we want to. Maybe cut out coffee or soda. Or internet for a year.

I sold my Bass, 4 guitars, smoked a litlle less more and... Within 2 weeks my Baby Avalon should arrive ;)

Not expensive at all ... No alcohol, smoke, one meal a day sometimes every other day. Can do in one month for most people.

I can't stop watching your videos. Beautiful. Trying to decide between this one and pentatonic how do you choose??
@nadishana7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's actually very easy: choose the one which speaks to you the most. That's what is important. Then you will have a lot of fun with your RAV:)

What kind of music theory should i know to be able to do the same mutings when i hit one tongue while i hold in a position with one finger and then while it resonates you play with that sound on an other tongue
@dupadupadoo695 жыл бұрын
in my ten minutes of just learning about this instrument..none. The whole instrument is made to one specific minor pentatonic scale that makes every note sound good with any other note like all the black keys on a piano. idk?

Hi Nadishana, i have the same instrument.. What is a good set for play this, live???

Beautiful. Is this drum in overtones.2 octave?

This scale would go good with a D major, correct?

I don't get it how you produce this soft and deep sound without the nasty metallic clickiness that I normally hear from people playing ravs. Is it the microphone, a sound filter or just the technique and the melody that make the clicks sound pleasant and harmonious? the metallic clickiness is what usually turns me away from tongue pans, its like a razor cutting my ear membranes...
@alexerker26518 жыл бұрын
Is there a lot of reverb added in these videos?
@sfzguitars70838 жыл бұрын
I doubt it - just recorded very well with a good mic. Mine rings/sustains for days!!!

Sweet, thanks! Hopefully I'll get mine soon.
