Teach me to do this so I can summon new Raven friends to my yard.

Today I did a food call just before putting out some food, and ravens from all over flew in! Quite magical.

Impressive!! 👏 . . I've tried making raven sounds and fail miserably, lol! Now that I know it can be done, with practice, I'll be trippin out the ravens at my house by next year. 😜

You gotta play with your epiglottis or maybe your uvula to make the flappy noise and at the same time making a crow like call and push out short noises

It's all how you use your tongue. Pull your tongue back a bit and sort of do the drum roll sound effect but raise and lower your pitch. Play with it enough you can get the hang of it.

Also forgot to mention the first little bit is more like gurgling water but controlling your pitch

I'm jealous. 😁 Those are very accurate calls. My 'ga-lonk' is quite good, though.

Please I have question, you made a sound during the time 00:24 to 00:28, what do you call that in English?
@oleeotv3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! What can we call the 0:24 sound? I have been trying to get that figured out and wasn't even sure it was a Raven anymore because I couldn't find it recorded anywhere. It's like a bloop or clop, lol. You have a gift and an obvious love for these social and complex birds.

I have seen it called a water drop.

@@mage-yi6je that fits. Water drop in a cave.

You're the only other person I've seen who can mimic ravens the same way I can! I'm enchanted! It even sounds like Yellowstone ravens have a different "accent" than northern Canada, how cool is that?! Pretty decent approximation of the water gloop sound - I've never been able to master that one!

I remember reading about how birds can have different dialects based on geographic location and tell each other apart by their dialect
