RAVEN MPV-7100 Mower - ATV - Generator

I saw the Raven at Lowes in Longview, Texas today. Very nice machine. I can see it as a work horse in the field with it's generator. So many tools are electric these days. I even have an electric chain saw and a WORKS chain saw. This would be great for cutting limbs off hedges in the woods where there are no electric outlets.

They had some issues in the past, this is a new team and they really seem like they are better this time around

That is an odd machine. Great idea. ATV part is sort of limited in my opinion on time (45 minutes) if not mistaken, and speed 17mph. As far as mowing and generator that is a good idea. Especially if price point isn't too far away from other ride on lawnmowers. It is items like this that I never seem to notice until you guys do a review on it, or make it known. Thank you.

Hi Cody, they are not really around anymore. I don't think they went bankrupt. Its hard to sustain that type of setup without support from the tool manufactures. Trust me I know, its hard to sustain TIA!

Hrmm, I wonder if Lowes is going to give them another chance with this next spring like the PR guy mentioned they had some major issues on the launch this year it's tough going when your blades fall off.

Yea, the previous group really screwed up I saw another video with a guy that had one of their test units. I know Lowes and Danver wanted it out this spring they really needed more time to test the Raven. It's a cool concept I don't think too many people know about the issues they had with the old version. The biggest Issue is the lack of being involved with a know outdoor equipment company. I hope they do get things right as they do make them in the USA and we need the jobs. I wish them luck.

Yeah. I have one. I have had several of the electrical issues as well as the blade issue. Denver Global sent me all the parts to update my unit and its running strong. I use mine every day. If you want you can check out my vids and see for yourself.

06-06-2014 just got it back steering much better,blades staying on, great starting really fast, gas pedal still to much sensitivity but so far so good. One thing I don't Like they took away the knob to adj tilt steering wheel not you need a socked wrench and ratchet really? Put it back on for the price of a extra 1,000.00 , the price is a real killer but if they made it 224 or 240 it would be a no brain er.

WOW bunch of mis information , they never went bankrupt just a major shack up at the top new people in charged, As far as the Murry apples to donuts Raven has no belts no pulleys,, tentioners, just 2 motors and 2 blades. And the reason Lowe's has so much input they are the one's which put up a great deal of money in research and development. The reason most done have the old one's was because of a safety with blades coming off Like mine can't wait till mine comes home.

While this machine is pretty aggressive looking, it seems to be a mediocre atv, and a mediocre mower. Sad that my 20 year old Murray rider can keep up with everything about this machine but the generator.

As a generator,,it's TOO LOUD. No one wants one of those Loud things when you using it for work or camping. As for the mower,,I will stick to my Scagg Turn-steer, faster and more maneuverable. As an ATV,,,no 4X4 or speed, 17MPH is WAY too slow. Sorry.

Loud Generator better than NO Generator. Rather have it and not need it than NEED it and NOT have it. A wise man thinks about his decision before making it.

Well here is the latest I talk to DGP's end of January they told me that it will be released the middle of February 2014 now we are in middle of month now they tell me because of weather it won't be out till end of march it sounds like right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing. I ask about the people who put in preorders he says they ship where ever and me wondering why have preorders? It sounds like they must be building this thing out side in the snow LOL I say just tell the truth on when and stop with lying.
