To be given that opportunity then was something else. She was very strong to continue regardless for what anyone said, black or white. She proved her grace off and on the stage. Confidence is something many of us need. Ms. Raven Wilkinson thank you. I watching her being a swan and it was like she was in the water. Her arms flowed. Wow!

Ms. Wilkinson could pass for white back then. And this other lady is very light skin. How are you breaking barriers for black women if nobody could tell you are black? They wanted white women and Ms. Wilkinson is white looking. Mission accomplished. This is not to diminish her contribution To dance in any way. However, how can a dark skinned black girl see herself in a white-looking woman?
