I was hesitant about Heartless Hunter but you made me super intrigued! I'm not super interested in Trial of the Sun Queen but I did recently see someone post about another book by the author called Wicked is the Reaper and I'm hoping to try it out this weekend. Hope it's a fun one!

I just finished Heartless Hunter last night. That ending was WILD and I'm scared and excited for part 2. That's too bad about House of Blood and Bane. I LOVED Peaky Blinders and I was so excited to hear about a fantasy Peaky Blinders book.

PLEASE read the second book in trial of the sun queen!!! I felt the same the first book was a 3 star but I decided to continue just to see if any of my questions would be answered and I absolutely loved the second especially the romance aspect.

I was put off Heartless Hunter because I didn’t like Serpent and Dove which is witch and witch Hunter YA so when I heard that HH was that too I was not too keen. But maybe I should give it a chance

i felt the same way with trial of the sun queen!! characters sounded immature compared to the adult setting - but i'm reading book 2 currently and i'm hoping for a different reading experience 😣

I’m with you on Trial of the Sun Queen, I read book 2 a year ago but tbh it was meh for me and I’m not going to continue with the series. The plot develops a bit but it isn’t exciting to me, no spoilers but there’s an added POV and that takes all of the mistery out of it for me, I like to find out about the history /secrets etc with our characters… and the FMC frustrates me so much 😂 which is not a big problem as long as there’s character development… anyways I’m SO happy you loved Heartless Hunter too ❤❤ I loved it 4.5 ⭐️ for me! Book 2 comes out in February 2025 and I hope we get to see an epic conclusion of the story😃

Posting before the end of the video but Trial of the Sun Queen is good. Entertaining but book 2 is great. Ok listened to the end...I felt the same but the second book is better! Hope you decide to continue it's worth it!

I recommend ’lake of sapphire’ by Mallory Benjamin. It’s a 2 book series, third will be out sometime this year… best fantasy romance I’ve read so far this year!

Heartless Hunter is on my physical TBR, I really need to read it! Especially since you praised it so much! Early this year I read The Kill A Shadow and I so enjoyed it!! I would be curious to hear your thoughts on it 🙂 On the other hand, I believe you will be disappointed by Lore of the Wilds from what I heard. Several booktubers I follow gave it a very low rating. Love your pink top btw 💞

If you want a new romantasy series that will grip you from start to finish you need to read Kingdom of Blood and Salt by Alexis Calder..I stumbled apon it 3 months ago and omg I’m so glad I did, I promise you it has everything you want and more. It’s fucking fantastic

I liked Heartless Hunter but it didnt quite live up to the hype for me. I agree with the heavy foreshadowing, i also saw much of that coming. Also not a huge fan of love triangle things, and the ending just absolutely broke my heart and i dont see how our main characters can move past the events that transpired and become true 'enemies to lovers'😭also I'd describe the romance in this book as crumbs. It's there... briefly... and then its over. some fleeting kisses.. it's just not much if you're an avid romantasy reader.
