Ravensbarrow Cartmel Fell An Outlying Wainwright

A short walk on to Ravensbarrow, Wainwrights designated top of Cartmel Fell. Starting from St. Anthony's Church (Cartmel Fell Church) this is an easy but splendid walk with great views over the Winster valley and to the distant Lakes and Howgill Fells.
Please park considerately if the church is in use! Thank you.

Thanks Alan, I think we're getting towards the end of the Autumn colours... we've had a lot of wind and rain this week.. Yesterday was a good day I was on Wansfell.... the ground was incredibly wet ☹️ I need to practice more with the drone... but it's always so windy 🤬 Have a good wildcamp, where ever you get to 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting. Ahh, no still on the bus! I was fortunate to have a lift! I was down in Preston this week for a chat with my consultant neurologist. He has discharged me 👍 I am still waiting for my operation to deal with the tumour, but that doesn't affect me in daily life. I'm seeing my GP this week, hopefully he'll OK me to drive 🤔 Cartmel Fell has a special place in my heart...❤️ Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Alistair 👍

@@GENerationXplorers I am really enjoying the buses, however there have been some road closures during the Autumn, and now the Winter timetable and things are actually quite restricted ☹️ I'd prefer to bring "new" hills to the channel... But for the time being I will probably do alternative routes 🤔 I'm itching to drive again, I have a lovely sports car as well as a daily driver sat waiting for me ❤️❤️😂 No doubt it'll feature in future videos! It's the kindness shown by friends, both old and new... some who I've never actually met which has helped motivate me in my recovery. Thanks you for your lovely comments ❤️👍 Cheers Alistair 👍

I keep away from the central Lakes at weekends Alan. This is just the sort of place we like going to, there's no holiday season anymore ☹️ Handy for us, only 6-7 miles from home, and a special place for both of us.... although for different reasons.
