A Traverse Over High Rigg

A traverse over the Wainwright of High Rigg. Only a small hill but a very worthwhile walk. Use the 555 to be dropped off at the "Dam Road End" and park at "Dalebottom". A really great linear route and very convenient to use the bus.
I visited the summit of High Rigg on New Years Day 2022....a rather different day!!

Gosh Thirlmere freezing over, thats some cold weather you’ve had over there. The frost looks lovely. Great views over to Helvellyn. Love the drone shots, great day for it! Don’t forget the camera! Gosh you do some miles! Im not a fan of crossing styles, i cant imagine doing it three times! That frost really helped with those bogs. Nice crunchy sound underfoot! Nice summit cairn. It was a very cold week, luckily very little wind.... there's been a lot of frozen pipes hence bursts ☹️ It was a great day to be out tho'. I often wonder how much extra I walk for the camera 🤔😲😂😂 Those boggy bits will be nice and squishy again now, we've had a lot of rain over the last week or so. Videos are always excellent and informative, but please, please, you need to get your sound sorted out when you are using your mic. The high pitched-whining is really off-putting 😕 When you are doing the panoramic shots the whining stops, so it must be your mic setup, some interference coming from somewhere. Still enjoy seeing the routes. We’ll be doing this very one when we are over for three days staying at the Kings Head next week 🙂 Happy Christmas 🎄🍻

Thanks for your comments. It's a bit of a mystery I've been trying to identify the source of the "whining"...it isn't audible when I'm editing! I actually use 3 cameras when I'm filming!... it appears from your comments that it might be originating from the Rode Wireless mic? I shall investigate further!🤔 Thanks for persevering to watch hopefully I'll have the issue sorted for 2023! ATB Alistair 👍
