WE are road tripping on Iceland's rong road and went to Dettifoss, Krafla Volcano and Hverir geothermal area. We saw fumaroles and mud pots there and really enjoyed this day. Fumaroles and Mud pots were really beautiful but disgusting at the same time.

That geothermal area has sulfur gas i.e H2S which has a rotten egg smell. That's why it smells horrible. In our school experiments too, the whole floor where the chemistry lab smelled really bad whenever this gas evolved in a reaction.
