So what can you do to the 2021 Vantages to get them (legally) sounding as good as the 2018/19 ones? The OPF filters have really muted the sound. Heard people have decatted them etc but would that not mean they fail MOT in a few years time? Can’t believe how quiet the latest ones are now. The original 2018 ones sounded great stock in track mode imo

Aston Martin did a good job to keep as much of the iconic sound as possible with the AMG v8, but here all I can hear is a Mercedes (more than stock), there's nothing left of Aston Martin in this exhaust sound and it make me sad ^^'

Maybe you could do a video on what is legal and illegal in the exhaust world as from what I've been reading some mods like a decat are illegal in the UK. Also fines are possible with certain mods and people can potentially have their cars taken so perhaps a clarification video would be a good one especially from an exhaust expert like yourself. @@ArnoldClarke I am not bothered if people want to use an illegal exhaust by their own choice....I personally like a throaty exhaust note..... but if it invalidates someone's insurance because of the illegal mod and they are involved in an accident then that can unfairly cause problems for all involved. Plus should a KZbinr really be promoting something illegal? Now I don't know the legal ins and outs of exhaust mods but know there are some and with insurance companies keen to grab any excuse not to pay out then I just thought someone like SOL would be the right person to do something on the subject.

Just like the new Supra is a coupe Z4 M40i the new astons are just beautiful Mercedes AMG’s. There is nothing wrong with that.

Far from it. The Z4 and Supra are built in the same factory using the same chassis, engine and electronics and some interior parts. They are variations of the same car. The Vantage has its own chassis, body and interior. The GT and Vantage are two completely different cars but with shared components.
