The photos were taken because Maya apparently had lesions on her legs before, and there was news of her self mutilating, the SW was trying to prove that whilst away from family she improved - this evidence gathering can also include taking pictures etc - sometimes people forget to upload pictures, Maya was going to court that day so it would have been a busy, hectic day...What is creepy about any of those pictures??

As a hospital NP, I can tell you that very often once a healthcare provider has a bad taste in their mouth about a patient or their family, it can spread like wildfire through the staff and 100% affect their treatment. For example, in my ER rotation, there was a pt who had a history of addiction but came in for severe abdominal pain. The ER doc felt the pt was just drug seeking so purposely stalled in giving any pain meds. From then on the entire staff treated this pt like shit. I was appalled but had to sit back and watch the behavior. In the end, the pt was diagnosed with a severe case of pancreatitis and was in the beginning stages of organ failure.

I have CRPS, however it wasn't diagnosed or treated for 3 years. As a result, the local hospital had written in my file that I was pill seeking, which was completely untrue- I was desperate for pain relief but I didn't care if the relief came from medicine, a surgery, or a freaking wizard. Finally I got in with a pain specialist who diagnosed me, I was put on fentanyl patches as I relearned how to walk. One night, my friend picked me up so we could go see our mutual friend perform in drag at a bar. I was still in a wheelchair at the time, but I was able to walk a few steps. I got a Shirley Temple since I didn't want to mix my medication with alcohol. I should've realized that the bartender trying to get me to get an alcoholic drink was a red flag. It wasn't long after that where I passed out and fell out of my chair. I remember waking up in the closet hospital- the one that still had in my record that I was pill seeking. I woke up to a nurse bending my wrist HARD in a way it wasn't meant to go. He had the most sadistic smile on his face- I'll never forget it. After I accused this nurse of what I literally just saw and felt him doing, I was physically picked up my security and dumped outside the entrance- not in a wheelchair, not into a car, just dumped on the sidewalk. Thankfully my friend had just arrived there from the bar, where we went to a different hospital (I passed out again in her car) where I tested positive for GHB- I think that's what it's called. It had caused a dangerous interaction with the fentanyl- which I later discovered had been removed from my back by the first hospital with the assumption that I had gotten it off the street. I've been treated badly since then, but that was an experience that shook me, and still does. That healthcare "professionals" can basically do whatever they want with you if you're considered an addict or mentally ill.

I am old have no drug or alcohol issues. Suffer many serous med issues. Because I am in the ER so many times. I get the same treatment often. I broke my neck the C 5 area this Jan. Because I did not call 911 or take my free ride in an ambulance. I was told sit there after an hour. I was told here is a brace after all you say your neck is damaged. Now sit here another hour. I was then walked down one long hallway to the M R I area told. Lay here as I pleaded for something for pain. Then led to the same chair to wait another hour. All the sudden a wheelchair came zomming out of the E R area. I thought someone fell out, they stopped at me. Took me by the arms said sit, and do not move. Then rushed into a room. In the fall I had scraped a lot of the skin from both my legs & knees. Had slashed my hand & right between my eyes. I was one bloody mess. They crazy glued my hand & between eyes area. Wiped down the legs. Put an ill-fitting brace on my neck. Sent word from the invisible specialist. He would see me in 4 months. they proceed to give me one dose of a pain med. Sent me to a pharmacy where I waited yet another hour. I was in so much pain I did not understand the Med given was laced with aspirin & code-an. It is plastered in all my med records that. I am Siverly allergic to both meds. I wound up back in the ER because I was hallucinating and in saver stomach distress. Still, I was not admtted. The neck has not healed well at all. One would think at my age of 70. With serous med problems & a fall like that. They would have admitted me right away. With a brain scan to be sure I had not stroked out or had a mild concussion. I will admit during the last of 3 my long surgeries. My care was outstanding, so I guess you have to be an emergency surgery patent be at deth's door for 3 weeks to get true care. Now when, I have to go to the ER it releases a true full on panic attack. Then I do look like it is just drug seeking. I am very glad Maya won, our med care & D C F S system is broken. Not only children get bad care. The aged & weak get bad care as well.

I’ve been on Maya’s side of this. Although, I was an adult when my health started to become an issue. To be told that you are lying, it’s all in your head, you’re just drug seeking, and your fine is beyond distressing. However when it’s coming from educated professionals you’ve been taught your entire life will not only care for you but also heal you, it’s is trauma inducing. I now have severe PTSD surrounding doctors and hospitals. Do you know how hard it is to be permanently disabled, have intractable chronic pain disease, degenerative disc disease, traumatic brain injury, and still force myself to get proper care? I feel so bad for this family. This is so terribly sad and no amount of money will ever give Maya back those months she was HELD HOSTAGE, or give this family back their Wife and Mother. I am currently going through this - I am in respite care - originally supposed to be for 7to 10 days - it has been 3 months and on - I am an adult and though I am crippled I still have my mental capacity - not that you would know it. This last week I was brought "my" medication which contained 7 "new" tablets - that's 7 unknown tablets every 4 hours for nearly 4 days - my brain feels like sludge, like dog do and I can barely concentrate (thank gods for correct text). Finally on Monday afternoon I was told I was right that they were probably for another susan on the otherside of the block. Over the weekend I was threatened with a 72 hour hold under the mental health act - where they can "hold [me] down and force a tube down my throat" to make me take them. It is their policy to dispense medication to those staying in their centre regardless of capacity or length of time of stay. Two weeks ago I had an horrific nightmare ... the staff started saying that I am a suicide risk because of a bad dream!?!. Three weeks ago I developed a tick in my lower left eyelid. When I pointed this out I was told that it is a sign of someone beng a suicide risk - no it's not - it's a sign that I am being bullied and abused here. I don't know what to do, I am terrified. I am not allowed to have a priviate phone call conversation. The stand with the door open so they can hear what is said - but if the doors open and you're standing where I can see you listening and giving me dirty looks where is the privacy? If questionned about it they will say "we left the room" A cleaner I used to chat to has now been told that she cannot enter my room or chat with me without someone else being present. A badly permed "nurse" came in threatened me, said she was going to search my personal property against my wishes and without my consent and she was going to confascate anything she wanted (2 text books, a tin of polochromos colour pencils and book that a friend had sent me) - this is illegal but she started by going through the drawer in the bedside cabinet. There are issues of privacy, confidentiaity, personal "care", theft, threats and so much more. I am so frightened.

Child protective services is a full of corruption! Our family had an experience and from there I now understand. 15 years ago my elderly grandparents had custody of my niece, their 10 yr old grandchild. Her mother a drug addict, and my uncle an alcoholic. Somehow CPS was called in when they got custody of her. My niece had serious issues and would sneak out of the house. My grandmother worried so locked her door at night! When she told this to the social worker she would lock the bedroom door from the outside, they removed her and placed her into a facility! She was there for weeks. My husband who is an attorney with stellar reputation and I applied for temporary custody. We live in a million dollar home, gated community, niece would have her own bedroom and we have no criminal records except my DUI as a 19 yr old from 20 years previous. CPS fought us and wanted her in a foster home!! They disparaged me in court because of the DUI I had at age 19! Said the bedroom in our million dollar home was not suitable for a little girl! it was our game room which had a daybed and piano and was private! That was laughable! Anyway, we won in 5 minutes in court since my husband is an attorney. The judge did not fall for the CPS BS! Most people don't know how to maneuver the legal system. Why would CPS prefer a child to go into a foster home vs. a loving interested family member??? The answer I believe is they get federal funding for every child they take away from a family member and place into a foster home. That is evil and corrupt!

Beata Kowalski only got away with this because the infusion pharmacist wouldn’t question his coworker, Beata-CVS Corum, he worked with Beata Kowalski, she was employed by CVS Corum at the time of her death-that’s how she was able to finagle the pharmacy system﹠get all IV meds to drug her daughter at home. And she asked numerous times to ensure she could give the drugs to Maya by IV. Maya’s mom believes the CRPS diagnosis by a doctor whose websites are.. ‘nopainhanna.com’﹠ ‘getketamine.com’ This doctor, Dr. Hanna, was giving ketamine infusions to Maya﹠one day Beata Kowalski calls him saying she can’t handle it, Maya needs more ketamine, she’d having abdominal pain, and EVEN HE, a ‘pill mill’ type doctor, said NO to Beata. He told her he cannot help her, he failed to help the child and he’s sorry. Then he sent to Beata to take Maya to JHACH so that they can figure out what’s wrong with her because he failed. So, JHACH was left to clean up Dr. Hanna’s mess, saved Mayas life, as mandated reporters suspicious of MCA, followed DCF court shelter order,﹠later get a lawsuit, lies and lies that multiply even DURING trial she’s tried to bring new accusations into the mix. It is it their goal to tear apart families but to get to the truth and if the mother wasn’t guilty and so selfish things would have ironed their way out. If they thought she was guilty then they will work to get the mother help and ultimately reunite the family. The mother selfishly brought more abuse to Maya. Attorney could have done a better job, to be honest. She was extremely well-prepped, so it very hard, but he could have done a better job. For example, after she claimed that she wasn't alone with Maya and many people passed, he could have at least asked her to name at least one person who saw them. But in any case, it's very difficult, because the hospital hides behind a lot of legal loopholes, blaming everything they can on DCF, despite them not only organizing the order but also directing DCF afterwards (I'm not sure if the jury have seen those email to DCF). Also the hospital has “lost” all hallway footage. So it is easy to see that Bedy is lying, because if she weren't in the hallway, the hospital would run to show that footage from those days. But I don't think Anderson is allowed to ask about that.

Cathi Bedy is just a notable example, highlighting a widespread issue. Many others hold similar 'god-like' power and behave like the Gestapo, acting high-handedly. These individuals are often shielded by large organizations, avoiding accountability for their mistakes and the misuse of their substantial, often corrupted, power. May justice prevail for families wronged by 'child protection' agencies.

Can see right through this woman. Again. Had they ALL sat with all Maya's doctors the day or with in a few days after she was admitted and NOT took Sally Smiths advice we would not be here today and maybe Beata would still be with her family. They took it to another level because their narcissist traits got the best of them because they did not like Beata. And they need to be held accountable and the system needs to be altered AND this case should be part of a training programs moving further

This woman is a predator of children. She delighted in ripping Maya away from her mother, so that she could take her place. She says she doesn't know that Maya hated being touched by her. Let me make this clear- CRPS causes the lightest touch to feel like burning coals. Sometimes its not as painful, sometimes the touch of clothing is too much. But it is never NOT painful. Maya would've been in incredible pain from being moved into Cathi's lap.

Her mother took her own life to save her daughter from anymore pain & to get Maya home & away from this hospital & the people in it. Shows you what a mother would do when she loves her child. Knowing her husband would care for sweet Maya. As well as look after their son. I hope they win this case so no other family has to go through what they have.
