The lulaby is very beautiful and stays fast in the head because of the rif (C-c-G#x5,G) but the structure turns fastly in round, and she screams to evitate to loose the attention for compensate. Personnaly my favorite part is the beginning (very nice) and the mains rifs. But when she screams she loose me. For that reason, I think Its a good song, but not for listen repeatedly. Finally, Its very nice but Die With a Smile is very much balanced, very much better.

It’s so cool and satisfying to actually hear what we’re seeing. There’s barely any reverb even. You can really hear the room and her breath, along with all the honest nuances of her raw voice. This will probably sound crazy, but it’s like you can hear the tissues inside her mouth and throat As far as the writing of this track, it’s pure brilliance. This version, like an antidote, really fits into the original studio track. Just like an antibody fits into a pathogen to neutralize it, this version locks into Disease. Minor chords become major, melodies ascend instead of descending, rhythms soften rather than intensify. It’s just absolutely stunning work from Gaga. We are blessed 🖤

Lady Gaga is a singer I've always followed since the middle of 2009. When I heard her for the first time, something about her voice sounded different from other singers of the same era. It sounded like she was hiding her power (I'm not talking about loud or strong, but about power in the sense of having the capacity to create, produce, act and be a source of sound) in EDM instrumentals, which was great because she didn't quickly saturate the vocal identities she has taken on throughout her career. If you take a project by Adele, Beyoncé or other singers, you already have something in your head that gives you an idea of what you're going to hear, vocally speaking. But not Gaga: you can expect something from her, but the possibility of her coming up with something completely different with her voice is great. I've seen Gaga sing with Yoko Ono (The Sun is Down, 2010), with Tony Bennett (The Lady Is A Tramps, 2011) and with Mick Jagger (Gimme Shelter, 2011) and with U2 (Ordinary Love, 2015) and all those times, I saw other layers in her voice. Despite the commercial controversies, “ARTPOP” was the key that changed Gaga's vocals. The album begins with “Aura” (the DEMO version), with Gaga doing several drives, using her head voice and reaching notes in the #5 octave in a unique way. The album had “Do What U Want” and Sexxx Dreams, with her singing R&B/Pop, showing a more agile side to her voice and reaching an F#5 with mixed voice in the bridge of “Do What U Want” and the falsetto in “Sexxx Dreams” showing another side to Gaga. She did riffs&runs in the lives of these songs, which we've never seen before. The acoustic version of “Applause”, “Gypsy” and “Dope” immersed Lady Gaga in vocal versatility, showing that EDM was too little for her voice. Seeing those ARTPOP vocals today, reaching the various vocal interpretations we've seen recently, is moving, because Gaga can sing anything and sustain it very well, without vocal breakdowns when she passes the registers and can handle a song with just piano and voice. She sings Jazz, Rock, Pop, R&B/Soul, Classical singing, all like a highly trained and disciplined mezzo-soprano. That's what makes her different, it's not just singing a song from one genre, but immersing herself and placing herself, the Gaga way, in each musical genre. Her fans should appreciate her more, because not every generation has a Lady Gaga to look up to.

I've been a fan of hers since her debut and was there for each album and era. If you retrospectively revisit her older music, you'll find she always had this tremendous gift of switching between "vocal characters" and using her voice as both instrument and paintbrush. It wasn't until she decided to strip back on the pop production that she allowed that aspect of her to be more visible and prominent. Pre 2015 she always had the ability but used it sparingly. Post 2015 it's become the forefront of what she does and it feels like I've become a fan of a new artist within the same artist. I guess that's why they call them "artists".

Of the vocal coaches on KZbin, Chris has helped me the most by far and it's completely free. People would pay good money to learn some of the things he's teaching and i couldn't be more grateful. I've been learning to sing because singing is so accessible. If you have a voice then you can learn to sing. The problem is that it's very complicated and technical in some areas. Not only that but some techniques can be harmful if not done correctly. Chris has kept me from trashing my voice while learning distortion like I've heard from so many others. I've been learning over the past four months and I have it down enough that i think I'm pretty decent for just being some guy. Thank you Chris, for making all of this information so easily accessible, really. Music has been a big part of my life for a long time. Only recently have i tried getting directly involved with it and i have you to thank for paving the way.

I just love your reactions and analysis so much in all of your videos. You have so much passion for what you do that it just jumps off the screen. I LOVE when you use your beautiful voice to show us what you’re talking about. I’ve been singing casually my whole life but then illness got in the way and I’ve lost a lot of my natural ability. Even talking for a certain amount of time causes vocal fatigue because I’ve spent so long mostly housebound/bedridden and not doing a lot of even casual talking. I’m thinking of getting vocal lessons to help strengthen up my voice again because I think I do have some decent raw material and I miss the confidence I had in my voice. Your videos, as well as other great vocal reactions here on KZbin have really ignited that passion in me to sing again and I thank you deeply for that. Take care. ❤❤❤ P.s. Your dog is adorable and I want to hug him/her. 🥹😍🥰

I have a date in December but I am nervous about getting it. I am wondering if should just deal with my sinuses with steam and sprays, water etc. I don't want to be down for months cause I got this procedure done. Ok that was long.. bye. lol

@TheHunt998 күн бұрын
I think he's talking about the placement of her lips and overall face shape. It's not "static" or stationary. She changes the way her mouth, throat and face are contorted to achieve a different sound rather than relying entirely on her voice i guess you could say.

I love your analysis, but you go overboard when you mimic portions of the song, its extremely cringe. Use your natural voice. And before the positive nancies attack, if everyone got 100% positive feedback, then improvement will cease to exist.
@chrisliepe8 күн бұрын
Thanks for enjoying the analysis. You're in the minority if you read all the other comments but lots of people are here for a specific purpose beyond just hearing Lady Gaga. And I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing with my voice... exploring it, experimenting with it and helping others do the same. I'm not concerned about being 'cringe' because I'm learning and helping other learn too. That's the reason for my whole channel and all my courses. If you're not willing to put yourself out there and try new things with your voice, you'll never learn anything. Since my goal is to teach. I'm teaching by example. Every single singer must be willing to have people say they sound "cringe" so they they can explore who they can really be as an artist. If you're looking for someone to just react and discuss, there are plenty of other channels for that.
