Extremely high confidence can be interpreted as a disguise for incompetence, or as intimidation. The best acting was from the sitting man who held back his laughter or anger. Real-life assassins are nothing like Arnold or James Bond, at least, the smart ones are not. If a hitman looks like a hitman then something is wrong.

So many action/thriller characters in the 2010s are written to be emotional. The action stars of the '80s and '90s went throughout their movie with pure masculine confidence. I want my heroes to be men, not doubt themselves and worry, leave that to the women. Look at the Daniel Craig's James Bond - started out tough and ended up like Alexis Carrington of Dynasty.
