All the R&AW's intelligence gathering on Pakistan's nuclear program was destroyed by a stupid Prime Minister of ours. 😓 Context : R&AW was created by Former PM Indira Gandhi and it proved successful. In 3 years it was pivotal in the creation of Bangladesh. After this Indira Gandhi was found guilty for election malpractices and a High Court declared her election win null and void. Also she was barred from contesting elections for the next 6 years. So, he had to resign and there was no way of coming back. This along with various external and internal issues resulted in she declaring 'Emergency' in the country. All the Fundamental Rights were withdrawn and she typically became a dictator. It continued till 1 ½ years after which elections were conducted. No single party had the organisational cadre to challenge her party at that time. So, all the opposition parties came together to create a new single party and contested against her. And they won. And they together decided a Very Senior Leader Morarji Desai to be the PM Candidate. He always had a grudge over Indira as he was on the top of the line to be PM before Indira. But Indira had more cadre support and people support(as she was the daughter of our first PM). So, she broke the Party and became the PM. So, coming to the nuclear program. When these things were happening Morarji Desai had become the PM and he didn't like R&AW as he thought it was Indira's creation and also thought it was used to spy on opposition leaders. He cut down R&AW's funds and put it under a bureaucrat (previously and even now it is directly under the PM). This created delays in R&AW's works. Even after this the R&AW managed to get things done. They managed to get proof of the Nuclear Program, the Blue Print and even managed to get one of the nuclear scientists on their side. But they did not have the funds to destroy the program. When asked for funds from the PM, who is also a Gandhian, denied stating that we need to use funds wisely, and there are more important matters. He even claimed it as Pakistan's internal matter. Actually, he was afraid that if R&AW gets it done, Indira's popularity will increase as R&AW was created by her. So, there were no funds. R&AW's next idea was to involve the Israelis. Pakistan's(An Islamic Country) Nuclear Program will one day become a threat to Israel, so they would want to destroy it and R&AW had the exact coordinates. But the problem was Israel needed a refueling station and at that time all the countries in the region were antagonistic Israel. So, they asked for refuelling permission in India. But the PM didn't allow this also. He said we don't want to get into unnecessary international conflicts. Seeing all this the then R&AW Chief and the Creator of R&AW, R. N Kao, resigned. After all this, a military dictator, Zia Ul Haq took power in Pakistan and as a diplomatic gesture he called our PM Morarji Desai. And during a casual talk the PM told Zia that we know of their top secret nuclear program. Zia was shocked at how India came to know of this top secret that even many of the top officials didn't know. He then initiated a counter intelligence operation in which our many agents were killed. But R&AW managed to delay the program 15 years. Fun Fact : It is said one of the top agents in the mission and who played a pivotal role in it is Ajit Doval, the present National Security Advisor of India and a close aide of PM Modi.

Fact: RAW played a huge role in curbing the resistance militia in North-Eastern bordering states of India and also dealing with Kuki terrorists in North East of India. Every Intel service has their priorities. Like Mossad priority is IRAN, & Middle east & Raw's is Pakistan , China. Both countries deals with different types of problems. For example India doesn't have to defend itself from thousands of rockets every week, Also Israel doesnt have to deal with two Nuclear armed neighbors ( one China which is 2nd largest economy & and superpower). Terrorists operations are different in Middle east & Asia. Pakistani terrorists dont exactly launch rockets like Hamas & Hiz . But CHINA & Pakistan plays strategically. So RAW also functions that way. Mossad acts like a Counter terrorism Unit with quick & direct approach, & RAW acts more strategically, having influence in the region , govts of neighboring countries . Its a Influence game in South Asia with CHINA & pakistan. So comparing their operations is not fair. But We do know RAW & MOSSAD both cooperate often & thats the best thing. I also read some indian secret service agents also get training in Israel with fellow candidates so that i think creates a root connection. & These agencies information & operations are so secret u cant even tell. Some we know cuz of media But mostly we dont know. I think We hear about Mossad operations more cuz those are quick operations that u can notice in a Hotzone like ME , wheres u cant really report on strategic battles every week cuz that can take decades to unfold.

As an Indian , i would say , Mossad is a better, because they have been habituated and are experts in facing such TERROISM problems from Iran , Hamas , hazeboolah etc RAW is on the same path
