@martifrey33573 жыл бұрын
@@DasKame Those jobber matches were great to promote PPVs before the Monday Night wars started because it got fans hotter for the real PPV matches. Remember that Raw was mostly taped at that time which means they did one tape a week in the same city worth of 3 raw shows and put them together for the next shows. However, once Nitro debuted it left the WWF with much less options to do star vs star matches in real time and they also couldn''t react quickly enough if they decided to change storylines. It's actually amazing that Raw was still able to beat Nitro in the ratings a lot of times with that poor concept even when Eric was giving their results away

I've noticed that there are really no stories ongoing at this point, in either company. It's always short-term "I don't like you!" stuff that is forgotten in a week or two after they fight. I think what makes the nWo/Attitude era so great were the stories you had to tune into each week so you didn't miss the new developments, and the utter dearth of this kind of storytelling at this point really highlights just how different the "hostile takeover" truly was. There was quite literally nothing even remotely close to it.

And I don't know if anyone caught this, but at 16:47, there is a "RAW is WAR" sign in the crowd.. This is way before the show was called RAW is WAR..
