This episode of "Reliving The War" takes a look at WWF Raw and WCW Monday Nitro from November 6th 1995. WWF Raw is still broadcasting their Manitoba tapings that took place after In Your House 4, and WCW Nitro is live from Jacksonville, Florida.
Over on Raw, Lawyer Clarence Mason has used his courtroom experience to ensure Davey Boy Smith gets a WWF Title shot at In Your House 5 in December. Big Daddy Cool Diesel is gearing up for his match with Bret Hart at the 1995 Survivor Series while Shawn Michaels phones in to let us know he is ready to make a televised return. Over on WCW Nitro, there’s still some confusion regarding the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and so the Dungeon of Doom want to set the record straight. WCW fans have an opportunity to book the show, viewers can choose a babyface and a heel to face each other in the Nitro main event.
With Monday Night Raw and Monday Nitro trading TV Rating victories over these past few weeks, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this episode of Reliving The War. Wrestlers who make an appearance include Bret “Hitman” Hart, Jerry Lawler, Kama, Sting, The Giant, The Renegade and more.
Matches and Promos covered in this video include:
00:00 - Marty Jannetty vs British Bulldog
03:50 - The Giant vs Cobra
05:59 - Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage at Venice Beach
09:00 - Eddie Guerrero vs Chris Benoit
12:21 - The Survivor Series Slam Jam
13:09 - Ric Flair vs Sting
17:00 - The WWF Raw Main Event
- Loads more!

I was born in 85 and started watching in the summer of 96 so even the stuff from 95 is good to get information on, but I feel sorry for you younger guys you missed out on the best era in wrestling.

You guys missed out on some of the best wrestlers in their prime: Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker. You can catch it all on the WWE network though so that’s always good.

Was born in 93, this stage of wrestling was basically my very first exposure to pro wrestling. My teenage years were spent watching ruthless aggression, until it bacame pg. Interest started to die away afterwards and completely vanished around 2012/13. I just can't get my head around the embarrassment that is going on today.

These are great. I'd love to see you do a several part series documenting the "Downfall of WCW" from it's change from its roots from the Jim Crockett promotions/NWA to Turner buying it out and turning it to WCW to the fall of the company and evental buy out in 2001. You could really go in depth on the guys holding up WCW during heyday and who went down with the ship after it was sold. You could also do one on the fall out between guys like Hogan and WWE during the steroids scandal and his eventual return So many great things you could touch on. Anyway keep up the great work

This is a great series. I really hope you do it all the way to the end. Knowing how things turned out for him, it’s pretty hard to watch Renegade get completely torn apart by Jimmy Hart after the match. The guy just did what they’d asked of him, followed along with their stupid plan, then they threw him in the garbage when it blew up in their faces.

I always forget how many military/cop gimmicks WCW had during the pre-nWo 1990s. Cobra, Sgt. Craig Pittman, Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker (who was portrayed as both a cop and a soldier at different points), even Ray Traylor worked a variation on the Big Boss Man gimmick for awhile before being rebranded as the Guardian Angel and finally bringing back his old Big Bubba character.
