That black hose with a blue stripe down in the bilge, or the green garden hose is dripping. About 10:49 in the video, watch that hose area and you can see a drip.

I see that I will check it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Nice catch finding the loose impeller vanes. Those will restrict water flow for sure.

Makes you wonder how long it has been running like this. Yearly maintenance is a good thing.

That is insane
@OmFishing3 жыл бұрын
One thing for sure the previous owner did not do his yearly maintenance.

What are your thoughts on puttng a bit of vaseline on the impeller to ease intallation and the fins' initial setting. And could a bead of RTV have been a good subtitute to that impeller gasket ? Regads !
@OmFishing3 жыл бұрын
Good idea the RTV would have made sure it did not leak. You know how it is, you are working on a project and you don't want to quit to go buy something and you do with out. Thanks for the tip.

@@OmFishing Those infamous back and forth trips to the store. Found their numbers to be directly opposite the time one allows himself for any given job. Ha, ha !

Just subscribed but already watched dozens of your videos😆 I got a quick question brother I have a 1981 35hp outboard tiller handle Evinrude. I recently bought it to have more fun with the family but It didn’t have spark. Right there and then I got two new spark plugs a power pack and new coils. Still no spark. So I followed the wires up and removed flywheel and saw stator plate. Charge coil was melted had oozed all the silicone out so I bought both the charge coil and the ignition sensor I think it’s called amd ran all new wires and connected to the appropriate place. Still no spark I’m lost and have watched so many videos I’m lost 😞. Please help me out
@OmFishing3 жыл бұрын
When you replaced the coils did you replace the spark plug wires. Make sure of the ground wires to the block are making good connection. The wire that grounds out the spark when you turn the key off. Check to see if it has been grounded some where. That is where I would start. Is the ignition switch good.

@@OmFishing I got spark finally that is what it was just needed to recheck all my grounds and that fixed it now to rebuild carb lol couldn’t get it to crank too much gunk in it

That was a inboard motor?
@OmFishing3 жыл бұрын
The boat I am working on is a Grand Banks 36. The engine is a ammarine 404. AKA John Deere. Yes it is a inboard.
