i might be wrong but Shuja nawaz wrote in' crossed swords' that gen Akbar khan was appointed as chief of general staff under Ayyub khan 's command . So that Ayyub can keep an eye in him and his peers. . whereas , MAJ GEN Iftikhar ali khan was the one who was sent to UK for imperial defense course as he was to be the next army chief instead of Ayyub but his plane crashed in jhungshahi near karachi . Shuja nawaz never mentioned anywhere that GEN AKBER was sent to UK..... please do let me know if this is true

Our irregulars entered Siri Nagar and started looting in the city without consolidating their position on ground. It was a failure on the part of our army planners who could not take over Siri Nagar airport. This airport was used to bombard the tribal rag tag army. These tribals were caught off guard and could not survive the bombardment. The planes were coming from this airport. The momentary victory turned into defeat and territorial gian was lost. The army had to retreat. 'General Tariq" and his planners should have set their priorities right. This approach of minimal force did work in Gilgit Baltistan but in the Kashmir Valley, there was an element of political opposition to Pakistan Les by Sheikh Abdullah. Taimur Bhai, pls elaborate on this part of Kashmir campaign.

I haven't heard, anything before on this topic neither i have read anything. But to be honest, its a dull cover up. the communist party wasn't involved in any agreement. So first of all what were they doing with the people who were about to implement a military coup. Secondly, those generals were highly decorated officers, okay so what? If you hand over a bus which is being driven on hills patch to a chef because he is a very decorated Chef dont expect all the passengers would remain safe.
