And alot of people don't actually realise that these animals are bred for this purpose and will end up being killed after being tested on. The testing isn't the only unethical thing its the WHOLE system. I've seen alot of people justify skincare animal testing too. Its all absolutely unnecessary and cruel disgusting behaviour.

I co-founded a skincare company. Technically there is no such thing as cruelty free skincare or cosmetics. All of the ingredients at some point have been tested on animals. Whats important to not test the ingredients on new animals. Sadly animals cruelty is apart of all ingredients in your skincare and cosmetics. When formulating I made sure the ingredients I chose were no longer tested on animals but I knew as some point they were.

@@raspberrykissable Thats a fair point, but it’s still really important to be clear that people have to decide whether or not to support companies that still actively *in 2022* test their products on animals. Or instead to support companies who’ve taken a stand on being cruelty-free (and lost access to certain large markets in the process). We can acknowledge the past but still make better, more ethical, choices about the future.

LOL. As a K-Beauty consumer as well, "Fix, Fixer" means set, setting. It just means that the foundation sets on your skin, even without a setting powder. Anyway, I believe that CLIO has gone vegan and cruelty-free (I don't think they ever tested on animals). They released an updated version of the cushion foundation that is totally vegan now.

Watching her finagle with the Korean cushion compact and reading the weird translations makes me smile so much and takes me back to when I lived in Korea and all of this was new to me too, lol (and yes, more often than not the higher end Korean cushions will have the refill included). And "makeup fixer" just means the color should set without a fixing spray. Korea has been and will always be more if a mask wearing country because of pollution and other stuff, so even if dewy skin will always be in style there, because of the masks that makeup has be slightly longer lasting.

I'm not as into the super highlighted look these days either and more of a natural glow. Try applying your highlight before your blush. The blush subdues the highlight, but it still peeks through the blush for a glowy look. 😊

Korean cushion foundations tend to be like that. I don’t wear a lot of foundation bc my skin is weird and it’s uncomfortable, but the Korean cushions are great. There’s quite a few cruelty free brands to choose from. I tend to love k & j beauty. The ingredients are innovative and even their expensive sht is cheaper then American high end stuff. Like their super fancy skincare isn’t cheap, but it’s not like western insane pricing.

I think the "fixer" term is used by K-beauty brands as synonymous to like setting, as in setting sprays. So a "setting spray" can be called a "fixer spray," and the idea of the cushion formula is that it sets and stays all day. (Not an expert tho, just sharing based on what I know abt the product lol 🤣)
