Where I am from, everybody eats mango skin. We just bite into the mangoes. Additionally, if I peel the mango for presentation purposes, I juice the skins. I just place it in the blender, add ginger add a sweetener (optional) and you have a refreshing drink.

Some people can be sensitive to the skin due to it having some chemical similar to poison ivy, or whatever, in small amounts. Which can lead to tingling, irritation, or allergic reaction in some folks. I've never had any problem with the skins, personally, though they can sometimes be slightly bitter, especially when unripe {?}...

I learned from you a long time ago that the way to make a great juices is to use a 80/20 or maybe a 75/25 vegetables to fruit ratio. Otherwise it’s just too much sugar and too sweet. Plus more greens equals more and faster healing to our bodies. The juice is still delicious even with much more green. And thank you very much for all the hard work you put into making your videos…💜

Hi John, Jose from Puerto Rico. I got the Nama J2 recently, and I'm enjoying it. I used to watch the Juice Man infomercials too and eventually bought one of those juicers. Then I got a stainless steel juicer from a company named Carico. It's the same concept as the Juice man juicer and I still own it and functions perfectly. But after watching your videos and researching the Nama J2, I decided to go for it, and I think is the best investment I've made. I love to watch your videos, since you have vast knowledge on the subject of juicing. I like to mix it up like you've mentioned, but the majority of what goes in is the leafy deep green vegetables and maybe one apple and some carrots.

Hello John! My reason for wanting to juice, peaches, is to add peaches to plain Greek yogurt. Whenever I find fruit, flavored yogurt, they put pure cane sugar in there, that which defeats the purpose of Greek yogurt in the first place! I’m sure that you are aware of this, as we both want to be healthy. Furthermore, cane sugar in Greek yogurt destroys, the probiotic bacteria that we need. So I want to be able to have that peach flavor as well as add some sliced peach or wedged peach to my yogurt. That is all. I would not use the small feet shoot on the Nema. I would use the hopper.
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
I would keep the skin of those two items you list. In most cases, the skin is kept ON when juicing. Generally if the skin is edible RAW for humans, you can juice the skin. Some exceptions that come to mind are jicama, oranges and grapefruits, tangerines that should have the coloring removed but white pith kept.

@growingyourgreens2 жыл бұрын
On one level you are totally correct. The Sana 727 DOES make a more nutritious juice than the Nama J2 for sure. That being said, the screen gets filled with pulp after 1 quart of juice on many recipes and the 727 wont juice fruit as well. On the plus site, the Sana 727 is easier to clean. But I prefer the convivence and ease of use of the Nama J2 when I bulk juice.

In my opinion there are some rules that should be applied when making juices. 1. Do not put fruit seeds into the machine, because a seed is meant to be a plant, and if you destroy it nature will not encourage you to destroy it, you will get negative side effects. Therefore, cucumbers are not suitable for eating. Exceptions are nuts and corn that have an easily separable shell, which is the body of the fruit because it contains the fruit, then if you return the body of the fruit as fertilizer to its root then it is absorbed by the root and becomes a fruit again. 2. Do not eat spicy food, if you apply spicy food to your skin it will hurt, because spicy food is pain, not taste. It is not suitable for us to eat and there are all kinds of creatures in the intestines that spicy simply kills them and it is harmful to digestion. 4. Sour is not suitable for our nature to eat, if you let the baby taste a lemon he will be disgusted by it. Therefore, in my opinion, harif and lemon are fruits that are suitable for the earth, it is also alive and needs food to produce better quality fruits. So lemon is sprinkled on stones that are placed above the root of the tree and then when it rains the dissolved minerals that were dissolved because of the lemon, these minerals can seep into the root and nourish the soil and the tree.

Hello Jon! Long time no hear from! I still have my Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer, because that while I juice 50% fruits and 50% cocktails, that there are times when I juice straight fruit juice, like in the mornings during Sumer time. The other time, is during the Fll, when apples are in season, although I would add some homemade sparkling water, cinnamon cloves and other spices that which would go into apple sparkling cider. The sparkling water and spices lower the sugar content in the apple and I like that sparkling texture. I don't thinkI'm ready to switch to a Namma. Hopefully I'm spelling that name right, as I no longer have eyesight enough to read how it is spelled. I forgot to mension, that when juicing fresh pineapple, I also juice oranges with the white pith on top, as oranges have a higher percentages than the pineapple. Now, I remember Jay cordich said, pineapples have two very important enzymes, Bromolaine, and Quinic acid also known as quinine. another fruit juice combination, is Grapefruit and pineapple according to Jay cordich. Also, as I listened to this particular video, is that the Namma does not have a feed chute. You basically load in the produce, put the lid on, turn on the machine and let it go to work. Can it juice whole apples, cucumbers, carrots and pears like my Kuvings whole Slow Juicer? Also, what is the best method, strategy and technique for juicing peaches? I heard somewhere, that when the peach is more ripe and soft, that the pit is just much easier to take out. I guess if it must be firm for juicing, I probably need to cut it in half, then cut around the pit. Would myKuvings whole slow work? Thank you.
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
Hey rick, glad you are still juicing! While you can load up the Nama J2 hopper and turn it on, it also has a smaller feed chute at top you can use to put one ingredient at at time, however this feed chute is smaller than the kuvivings and cant accept whole pieces of fruit. It can juice many whole pieces of fruit provided they fit in the hopper. For best results, I recommend precutting produce to load in the J2 so can can better fit more in the hopper. For juicing peaches: 1) look for FREESTONE peaches, some varieties the seed will EASILY detach from the fruit, they are called FREESTONE. other peaches are called CLING stone since the fruit CLINGS to the pit. In either case select the MOST HARD and FIRM peaches for juicing, and use a knife to cut off the fruit and remove the pit. I cut it like a tic-tac toe pattern looking from the top of the stem down, to cut off the pit. Put it into the juicer and enjoy! that being said, I recommend eating peaches ripe and whole or better, freeze them and the use them to make peach sorbet!

@growingyourgreens2 жыл бұрын

Don't do it! Daikon contains allyl isothiocyanate, which is a derivative of glucosinolate, the component that gives horse radish it's spicy flavor. It is released when the root is grated or juiced. It's spicy and pungent, and there's really no juice recipe that will taste better with daikon unless you have very unique preferences...

Is the Nama j2 good for grapes and strawberries
@discountjuicers3 ай бұрын
the J2 can juice these items, that being said, if you juice it with jicama it will be more effective. First tip is select the MOST hard and firm berries & grapes for the best results. The softer the fruit, the more wet the pulp will be when your done. Please watch kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZPHaZx-j75_eK8 where I share why you should never juice berries. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZPHaZx-j75_eK8

@discountjuicers you mention to use the coarse screen for juicing fruits, but what screen would you use if you are juicing roughly 50% fruit and 50% vegetables?

Ok John, so I struggle with deciding to juice the skin. Sometimes I do not purchase organic due to budget, and I chose to peel the skin before I juice. Do I chose nutrients over pesticides?
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
Yes, that is your conundrum. I would recommend consulting the dirty dozen/clean 15 list to see which produce items contain more pesticide residue and use that to help guide you. Also, you can wash non-organic produce really good and use a produce wash, salt or vinegar and soak the produce to help remove pesticides. In the end it's important to look at other things you eating in your diet. for example, if you are eating processed foods and processed meats, those IMO are FAR worse than any small amounts of pesticides in the fruit peels you are juicing :)

Thank you for sharing the orange sweet pepper-orange juice 🎃‼️ Also, do you have payment plans on the juicers that’s you sell?
@discountjuicers2 жыл бұрын
Hi Michelle. I do not have a payment plan, but the Nama J2 that I recommend in this video does. You may be able to buy interest-free depending on which option you select. To see the payment details order at www.bit.ly/j2juicer Use coupon code HALFFRUIT for a $55 savings and select the "Pay with AFFIRM" option to get your payment plan.

I learned recently I have an issue with oxalate where I get involved with kidney stones which is drag. I had to swear off spinach due to the oscillate. I just looked it up and apparently jicama is also high in oxalate. have you run across any hacks where where if I add a certain other vegetable fruit or yogurt etc to high oxalate items it would reduce that situation? I'm looking for a workaround where I can continue consuming those kinds of vegetables without consequence. ideas?

What if you have diabetes? Can you drink a fruit juice or smoothie?
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
I recommend contacting your doctor. As it is I prefer to make fruit smoothies and vegetable juices. I am not an advocate for straight fruit juices.

Lemons are really high in sugar.. Not to be against that, I think that whole point is a bit ridc (no disrespect) but they still are high in sugar, as the other fruits you said :D
