Great job dude, moded trapeze is my favorite web style. My first big boy glove was a 11.5 Rawlings Pro Preferred moded trapeze. Used it for both pitching and infield. Teammates would want to use it all the time 😅 made it through Rookie ball too. It's beat up now but I love the pocket on it and overall shape. I would love to get it repaired but it's pricey and I feel like it wouldn't be the same. My other pro preferred is a I-web

my favorite glove of all time has to be the Dale Murphy RGB 36 from the late 80's. It is really good quality and my dad's has one and it is absolutely pristine! It is so smooth and classy. Although it is "floppy" it is very sturdy even compared to some of my other newer gloves.

i’m 15 play second and outfield and i prefer wilson and rawlings could you give me any suggestions
@ballgloveking2 жыл бұрын
Well I suggest picking a glove for one or the other. Which ever position you play more because they are sorta opposites. Wilson infield- 1786 Rawlings infield- pro200 Wilson outfield- 1799 Rawlings outfield- anything 12.75” with an H web from Rawlings will do great! Side note, if you’re spending $250+ on a glove just take care of it really well and it can last you for years and years
@yoyo-vg6uo2 жыл бұрын
What would you suggest as a budget glove for a guy who doesnt play in any games or leages and just plays catch with his friends? Also does infielders vs outfileders matter for catch? Love the channel and the videos, keep it up!
@taner65th2 жыл бұрын
in my opinion, i say for normal catching it doesnt matter. It just depends how you want to close the glove and what size you want it to be. If you want a small glove that has a deep pocket to be able to hear the sound i would go for an infield glove from 11.5-12. If you want a big glove that has a very deep pocket, which is what its supposed to be go for an outfield. It's honestly your choice.
@User-jq1cu2 жыл бұрын
If your just catching probably get an infield glove Rawlings has some for 50$ and Wilson’s a500s are 50$ too
@User-jq1cu2 жыл бұрын
But if you want a nice glove that might last you a couple years you can try Rawlings GG Elite or the Wilson a1000 which are around 120 if you get it on sale

if you want a cheap glove that can do its job you can get the Wilson 2022 A1000 T125 12.5" FASTPITCH outfield glove. If you want a better quality glove with more money to spend get a Wilson 2022 A2000 SCV125SS 12.5" FASTPITCH OUTFIELD GLOVE. I dont know if you're doing slowpitch or fastpitch or something else but those are 2 good options.
@ballgloveking2 жыл бұрын
I’m actually a huge fan of the Wilson Fastpitch gloves, they rock So I advise getting a 12.5” glove, you’ll be able to use that now and it’ll still be a great size as you get older. Soooo because you won’t grow out of it I’d recommend getting an a2000 if you can because you could make that last all through high school!

Got a price/value question. A new custom 44(would go w/crown model) or I've found a same-as-new a2000 1786(like literally just missing the tags) for $199. Which would you go with and why?
@taner65th2 жыл бұрын
I say its personal choice here. IF you want a glove that you want to create and design go for the 44 btu if you want a quality glove from wilson than go for the a2000 since its basically new just without tags which is perfect since if its going down 100 dollars, thats a hella good deal.
@ballgloveking2 жыл бұрын
If you can pick up that a2000, it’ll have better construction overall. Wilson pays very close attention to each glove but 44 does not. So sometimes you can get a 44 that is on par with an a2000 while other times it’s not

One thing is that it may need more work like it’s not broken in fully, or your pocket may not have been formed properly. Like you may have a broken in glove but it’s possible that it doesn’t have a solid pocket so the ball doesn’t have a place to land If it doesn’t seem to be either of those it may be a bad glove…
